Just been curies to know: How this is calculated or how do I find out this??. Thanks |

Well, it cannot be the quality promised by ETV....they promise bitrates up to 4 mbit/s...and the bitrate at the moment is way below 3 mbit/s. Also, they use poor resolution (352x576i)...they always use the best resolution available for regular mpeg2 video (720x576i) So if you think the picture is good now?...wait until they change to higher resolution and turn up the bitrate to the promised 4 mbit/s. I guess once they start using this new frequency regularly they will really deliver on their promises....?

just checked,
in full agreement bit rate = to the old signal @ 10853.44 , however resolution and definition decidedly worse. The only positive comment for now, the sound is stereo |

The liveshow is now being broadcasted on this frequency...
They are still broadcasting in poor resolution (352x576i) but the bitrate (at least the video) has been increased: Video: average 2426 kbit/s Audio: average 74 kbit/s |

Very nice news from eUrotic tv....they do promise higher bitrate (and they must once they start broadcasting use the highest mpeg2 resolution 720x576).
Sexysat could learn something (hihi)!!! Anyway, at the moment the parameters for the new channel space on Hotbird 11013 (H) are as follows: Video format: 4:3 Video size: 352x576 interlaced Video type: mpeg2 (H.262) Video bitrate: 404 kbit/s (regular/old Hotbird channel on 10853 (H): 2317 kbit/s) Audio bitrate: 74 kbit/s (regular/old Hotbird channel on 10853 (H): 99 kbit/s) I think it will be very exciting to see if they will actually deliver on their promise of higher broadcasting quality. Note: bitrate measurements may vary slightly depending on which equipment and software is used. |

Resolution has dropped from 704x576 to 352x576

Better quality of the picture is on HD!!!!
But, now this new frequency broadcast only promo pictures on SD (standart definition) with bad resolution!!! |

I don't know what is happening with this site there were several attempts made by me to post a post with no success this is the third attempt...
Back to topic . It looks that this problem with Hotbird is somewhat related to the switch to the new frequency , I think someone miscalculated the date they will be ready otherwise I don't understand how can they uplink their slide show on the new frequency 11,013 and not broadcast on the old one 10,854 ? Wouldn't it be simple to just move to the new frequency ? |
