Here's what I do not like of this F1 and what I would like to see changed
1. in the current Formula 1 cars, the 90 per cent of performance is now based exclusively on aerodynamics. Too important the ground effects and the airflow work to produce downforce. Perhaps it would be better to increase the ride height of the cars. 2. instead since the end of 2006, F1 engine specification have been frozen, to keep development costs down; but how much money they spent for KERS(Kinetic Energy Recovery System)? I would like: more research and freedom to develop on engines. 3. reduce the amount of electronic driver aids; for example steering wheels on F1 cars have more than 20 buttons. Instead, increase tests on the track. 4. DRS(drag reduction system or moveable rear wing) better than nothing but it is not the resolution of problems; the three best overtakings of the season all without drs. Webber vs Alonso (Eau Rouge – Spa) Vettel vs Alonso (Biassono – Monza) Alonso vs Button (Ferradura – Interlagos). With DRS, the overtakings are artificial. 5. Tyre - director of Pirelli Motorsport said that Pirelli wants three stops to become the norm in races next year. “So some races will be two, some three, and maybe a few four stops just to keep people on their toes. If we can get three more often than not, we would be happy” Is it right that tyres and the strategy (determined by the team) are so important for win? 6. drive-through penalty; too many. Why always looking for a guilty in every accident? From next season, again new rules to reduce duels on track. 7. I would like the abolition of the current “parc ferme” rules between saturday afternoon's qualifying and the race. Especially in case of rain. These cars are not able to run in heavy rain conditions. 8. Save the best circuits. Spa, Monza and other tracks have a story that started almost 90 years ago. There are things more important than money, and these circuits are rich of history and traditions. |
