According to this article someone is trying to buy the servers and plan calling it "Anonyupload.com" which anonymous deny having anything to do with it.

As European Union and the Common Wealth countries are only heelers of the U.S. anyway the old pilot law remains valid: Stay out of the clouds, the silvery line at the horizon may be a plane coming towards you in opposite direction (hopefully I have translated fairly correct). @zorgaux: Maybe they close some others, but I think in the first step they will try top force them to cooperate closer against copyright violation, otherwise the last American dumb ass may feel the consequence which may not be good for the upcoming elections, already the Wikipedia action against PIPA and SOPA showed some effects. MU was a little different, they hardly cooperated according to DMCA and finally started a campaign against the big music labels to establish a platform for independant misicians, so somehow it was a matter of time until the Empire strikes back. because thanks to the great U.S. government megaupload now is probably history, raises the question of what now is being used for up and download.
has anyone a good idea? and what happens to the thousands of files from live show-tv which were on megaupload, are they lost forever? I hope we find a good solution and can somehow find a way to save the files. |

So probably simply bad luck, even more for those who don't have the files locally stored. And now Microsoft wants to sell Cloud computing and Office 365 with it's cloud based file storage Regards Joker |

For whatever reason the two anti-piracy bills, SOPA and PIPA going through the US congress have been shelved. It was always argued that the authorities already had sufficient powers to deal with such infringements over the internet as demonstrated by the taking down of Megaupload.

Probably some agents are watching and wanking this time.... [hidden link - please register] and it wouldn't be the first time that one institution would like to control it all and doesn't accept one different meaning.
