The shut down of MEGAUPLOAD is the beginning of the end of an Freedom and Independence
in the Internet. Behind this is the lobby of the music and film companies. What have we done 30 or 35 years ago? Someone recorded an Album or music songs on a tape. So friends recorded other ones and we met us for a overplaying party. Joined 2 cassette recorders with a 5-pole overplay cable and shared the music. Illegal ? Nobody cared two hoots about it. It is clear that all the world's governments want to control the Internet business for more income. In today's society the access to culture and art are extra, that is, the higher the purchasing power of the individual, the greater their access to knowledge. This is totally unfair to the majority of the population. For megaupload, I think that hurts a few, but benefits many. An honest policy should seek the common good.
