Since a few days rtmpdump don`t work for me anymore for the hot part of the ELS?
 Can`t find out myself what has changed. Anybody here who can help?

It records directly the stream in flv format. While recording you can watch the file immediately in your video player.

Sounds very interesting. In which file format can it gets recorded ? (AVI, MPEG) I have a good recording software. (BB Flash Back Express Recorder) It is very easy to use it only the file format (*.fbr) is strange. A possibility to transcode it in "*.AVI or *.FLV" is integrated. Only it takes time and system resources. If yours use a well known file format to record, it would be very good. If you want tell us and: Have A Nice Time Best Regards

The most powerful tool for recording secure Streams is Rtmpdump. It allows to record even if the web browser is closed.
Maybe a little unfriendly user interface for the beginners, but once you learn how to use it, you find it very easy to handle. Btw, Ideal tool If you want to watch (record) the ETV exclusive live shows and you are not a Gold member. |

I'm using windows. So I record ETV streams with Replay Media Catcher4. But you have to set it record mode instead of download mode, as the flowplayer sets the streams to secure mode, which blocks the direct download. You also have to have the stream constantly playing in a window in order to record it. Because if you close the window, the recording stops. I'm sure there are others that work, but I have found replay to work on most. |
