Re: Sports in general.

After 13 consecutive victories with only three sets lost and two tournament won
this evening Fabio Fognini lost ATP Umag final against Tommy Robredo 6-0.6-3SadSad
Fognini had no chance tonight and even if he was two times a break up in
second set, he seemed very tired, mentally and phisicallyConfusedConfused
Anyway thanks to him, from tomorrow Italy will have a male tennis player in
world's top 16 after 34 years SmileSmileSmile

Re: Sports in general.

Many emotions this evening in the semifinals of ATP Umag, specially
in the first, where Fabio Fognini, after winning easily the first set 6-0
against Gael Monfils, lost 6-3 the second and went 5-0 in the third: but
started to feel the pressure and became nervous, so Monfils ,after saving
2 consecutive matchpoints on 5-3, jumped 6-5 and had 3 matchpoints;
Fognini then kept the cool blood and won 7-3 the tiebreak SmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmile
This is his 13th victory in a row in the last 3 weeks Thumb upThumb up
Tomorrow he will face in the final Spanish Tommy Robredo, who won
the battle with Andreas Seppi 6-3,2-6,6-4 SadSadSad

Re: Sports in general.

A tragedy for Italy: Supersport pilot Andrea Antonelli died this afternoon
in Moscow, after falling down in first lap and after Lorenzo Zanetti run over
him, probably for the eccessive rain on the trackSadSad
The race and second manche of Superbike was immediately annulled
So said Marco Melandri(who won 1st manche in Superbike):"There was too much water on the track
the circuit was impracticable, we saw nothing, we must stop"
Now it's too late to talk, R.I.P. Andrea CryCryCry

Wow, respect Thumb up
Highest ascent I ever did on a bike went 800m up, and life wasnt so beautiful for me after that Big Grin
Good thing is (in this case): once you reached the top, the way ahead is always downhill,
otherwise I would have had to be carried back to the car! Tongue

But Baguette and wine I can agree to. Smile

If you are into cycling, dont miss the climb up to Mont Ventoux, starting in a few minutes.
Of course the Tour de France is worth watching for the sightseeing-value alone, travelling through
all these beautiful regions.

C'est beau, la France ! Smile

Ps. I did see Mr.Froome going up like hell, like someone did before.........(Armstrong Confused).
But hey, it´s a great sport for free and I hope some day it will be total clean!!
