Seeing RED !!!!

Day Three. Is he going for a full seven ?

It is a little known fact that this tv actually broadcasts for a full 24 hours a day. I say 'little known' as there are times you would not realise this as one hour looks like the last one with just a little more effort put into the night-show.

But sometimes a light shines out of the darkness and a director tries to instill something a little different into the daytime monotony. Sometimes there is real motivation showed by the models. Motivation designed to encourage those callers on the line. Motivation designed to encourage more to follow them.

And then in the finest traditions they fcuk the whole thing up. Let us consider the evidence. Reduce the lighting and shine some red light on the girls. The camera picks it up and one ends up with an over-saturated mess. All that effort done by the girls is lost in a sea of red mist where you can hardly make out just who is on the screen.

Of course if a job is worth doing badly then make it even worse by surper-imposing that dreaded mirror-ball on to the picture. Not on every picture. Just the ones where you are already seeing red.

And at the end of the day, the accountant arrives and tells all present just how well or badly all that effort contributed to the channel's coffers as that is all that really matters. If the callers saw through the red mist and logic was thrown out of the window then everyone will be happy. But if the opposite is true then the director should carry the blame. A good workman never blames his tools.

There was an announcement just before the end of that pictorial disaster that the night show would have a 'Piano Bar' theme. My imagination goes into overdrive and thoughts return to last year and Viviana dressed in not very much and twinkling on the keys. But it was soon evident that 'Piano Bar' means something else in Molvania as the piano failed to make an appearance. But, as I write this, the 'bar' seems to be well stocked. So could this reach those parts that other shows do not reach or will it be yet another false promise ? By the time you read this you will already have your answer.

Re: Seeing RED !!!!

Ah ! Rhondda Buses. RED and always Double-Deckers. Not like the poncey singles you get these days where you have to pay the driver. No chance now to avoid the conducter.

And the social club outing to Barry was always the highlight. Emptied to garage to supply all the RED buses for that - the Sunday School just needed a few carriages on the train. MInd you they were real trains fueled by Rhondda coal. Not like the poncey diesel jobs you get hese days.

And what you ask does all this have to do with the topic. Well not much but we can all live on our memories. Just like the memories of what this tv used to be.
