New ETV Concept

It seems ETV has an new concept: the crews changed places --> the girls are in the control room and the guys in the studio...

@HvB: WE know that but they don't; so they will try even harder to get rid of us and if we are right this experiment will last until eternity and the shows will get 'better and better'...  :=((

@Odie512: good one ;-) Unfortunately this experiment is poised to fail, as we both know that there will always be some callers and most probably even enough for the channel to survive …

Maybe it's not a concept, it's an experiment: 'what must we do and how many time is needed to get rid of ANY caller and viewer'...

Any split service beit it PPV, subscription or anything else would mean disaster and they know it.

Let's for one minute they decide to do it. Everyone who wants (and can get) the better content signs up. That would be restricted to (probably) Astra viewers leaving Hotbird back in 'the toilet'. Noone from HB calls because they see nothing and noone from Astra calls because they have already paid.

Change of transponder can be for only one reason. The new one is CHEAPER.

But here is a more important question. WTF are they doing tonight switching every few minutes to the E2 studio. Or have I missed something and E1 viewers can actually call into there as well. Because if they can not then they will cause even more E1 viewers not to call as they can not see who they should be speaking to. Or is that their new concept ?

And that 'concept' seems to have paid dividends as the E1 shows has died tonight.

@db: you’re right about the transponder, but I guess there are some satellite operators willing to rent some bandwidth. If we talk about hc shows I agree. But what about sc like they did before, no monthly fee, and you just by the smartcard for € 5-10? Maybe even via VIP?

Some more question: why are they switching the transponder on astra (now it’s official, see the text occasionally displayed in the sms area on astra)? Just a change of the provider (from German Telekom to neterra), or is there another reason (the different footprint is most probably not the reason)?
Well, maybe I have just been watching too much of “The U-Files” ….
 

@HvB: The thought about the new Arabian or - more likely - Muslim market was high on my agenda too. If the majority of the callers come from there, Etv is certainly out to please. Not the Arab viewers, but the Arab countries, so that their signal isn't blocked or scrambled. We're talking about Northern Africa or Turkey of course, cause even if it gets as soft as it can get, it would still be a absolute no go for places like Saudi Arabia or Iran.

Right. Here's something. There's nothing wrong in having a couple of pretty(soft) girls in a show. That has always been part of the eUrotic philosophy. So no change of concept there. Of course with the evil of the VIP SMS, if they 'let the cat out of the bag' they simply will not get the demand for those that they could expect.

But there's a saying. Two's company, three is a crowd. Five is a down right orgy. And if they rely on the regular callers during that sort of a show then the rewards will be small.

I was not aware that INXTC had 'gone west'. But surely if that is the case they may hold a licence but no transponder to broadcast.

Pay tv from a live-show angle will not work. They tried it before and although the company is renowned for reincarnating old ideas that one is permanently buried.

I posted a theory about that somewhere else in this forum (where it most probably was totally ot).
I also think that the future programming will be even softer than today’s. I agree that it isn’t the models fault. I don’t even think it is a fault (it is only one in my very selfish view on this topic). I don’t think that it is something just happening. I’m sure there is a strategy behind this development. Etv’s management isn’t nearly half as stupid as I sometimes suggest when I comment on a disliked change. Just looking at the business side they are even quite good.
So the questions I ask myself and you are: Where are they going to? What is the goal? Why do they do this? There is a goal they are trying to reach and there is a reason why they want to reach it. Is it the new markets in the Arabic region once discussed in a similar topic? Is it another split fta/pay tv? They still have a license for a third fta channel and as INXTC is free-x Delight now and using a French license, they still have a license for a adult entertainment pay-tv channel. Is the viewer base big enough to try again?

Are You so sure the decision to develop a new concept of show it's the cause and not the effect? Maybe the difficulty to recruit new nice and young models it has obliged the staff of ETV to engage an agency and maybe the agreement signed with this agency not allow the models to strip. In this case it's clear that the only way for ETV it's to broadcast just really soft show with this new models and last this explain why the models who want show more are interdict to continue.

Don' t worry Markus, this forum now, is only for unconditional Craprotic tv fans. Criticisms about this channel are not the welcomes.

I believe these arguments take place only because shows suck in general, but once again I am more sure that not because of the models. You can see that the whole concept of etv shows is getting softer by the day. Today afternoon show with sandra, malena, carolina, alaya and co. was much better. In this show now is clearly shown that these newcomers are here possibly only to dance, dressed of course. Maybe we should give them some time. I think we should watch out for the evening. Tara will be there, and most of all, there is this mistery place....Wanna bet who that will be??? - my reckoning viviana. second show much hotter then her first. And lets not argue, lets just wait for better times.
