24 May 1941 ?
(...the answer my friend is blowing in the wind...)

A legend of music was born this date and is a piece of music history today.

Like a rolling stone; Knocking on heavens door ( NOT YET )

BOB DYLAN is going to be 70 today.

Happy Birthday Bob. Unforgettable songs by you.

Many singers performed it, we also tried it around the camp fire in the night.
But this is only yours. A song for more than one generation.

In ORIGINAL by him

Re: Music on etv

Yes of course Tarl_Cabot read your post and remeber me.
I think only the right to play older songs it's cheaper because my favorite told it me the song must be older than 15 years
and they played also "Wish you were here by Pink Floyd" pubilshed 1975.

It seems me the boss payed a limited amount for the copyrights and so it's possible to play that
it's independant from the state of the band like music legends Pink Floyd and Guns'n Roses or a "0815 group."
and the records company. I'm very thrilled how it will be with songs by "The Rolling Stones or The Beatles".

Really it's not so easy to find some useful information, tried it on the GEMA-website but that was unsatisfactory.

Thanks Schubert, good links Thumb up

Have a nice time

Read this :

For example:

Term of Copyright

A copyright is granted for 70 years after the death of the last surviving copyright holder. In the case of a work-for-hire, the copyright is good for 95 years after the work is first published or 120 years after it was created, whichever comes first.

I repeat what I fantasized one month ago

some days ago they played Queen, too.
iirc exists a time limit of 20 years for copying music songs. maybe the same for the fees to play the songs.

and yes, I have no idea about this topic. but maybe someone could search for this and someone with some knowledge could offer some facts. Smile

Re: Music on etv

They have played also "Don't Cry" by "Guns'n Roses" during the last hour.
I believe it was a viewers wish and know it's older than 15 years.
My favorite told it me, music wishes are possible
if the song older than 15 years. Thumb up
