the page 'etvshow.com' actual really sucks!
the stream isn't the problem, but you have to run it all the time... |

I've just read a very well constructed, forthright, intelligent, respectful and 'Everyman' slanted post by 'Fabri D' on ETV's Wall about a certain viewer's fetishes and the dominance ( excuse the pun ) of such fetish requests during most of ETV's programming these days which, I agree, is really damaging the shows, not to mention the girls themselves too, probably. I say 'probably', I've spoken to 4 of the girls and they all hate it.
I did wonder, for a second, about why such a post was allowed to be there, although ETV's recent relaxing of it's 'nothing but positive' comments rule should have given me an idea. Then I saw their response. The usual Bohemian claptrap and nonsense always spouted when reason and common sense is used as an argument. New Year, New ETV? Erm, no...New Year, same ETV reeling against anything remotely sensible and mildly 'conformist' or 'for the masses' or even for the good of the channel, in a continued obsession with being stuck, forever in the past, like a rebellious student in the 1960's.... Dreamlander-They end by saying it's not about the money. For once, I truly wish it was. |

Tarl_Cabot wrote:I think it's neither etv's problem nor an antivirus problem, I'm with the idea of DNS problem, too. With all the server problems over the new year, anythings possible. But if it was a DNS error, you'd either get the message "Timed Out" or "Server not found". When the error occurs, it actually finds the site. It just fails to load the script, which results in a blank page. I'm still inclined to think it's a fault with their database. |

I think it's neither etv's problem nor an antivirus problem, I'm with the idea of DNS problem, too.
did anyone try tracert to find a problem on the way to etv? my route shows some strange steps and these from leaving the german t-com network to the servers in america. Back with me on Chrome
I wonder if we will ever find out what the real problem was? |

It seems that already works normally.
I use Opera. |

It's back for me on Firefox, the only browser I really use on my Laptop. I'm guessing somebody at ETV leaned on the correct button by mistake!

My suspicion is that it's a DNS problem.
There is a DNS server somewhere which is giving bad name resolutions and some of us hit it whilst others don't. I'm sure there's someone with better knowledge than me who can say whether my suspicion is correct and explain it better. A workaround is to enter the numeric address http://50.97.229.122:443 You will have to manually replace http://www.etvshow.com:443 on every link to navigate the site. I have found an additional problem which prevents Login from working |

Dreamlander wrote:Not working for me on Firefox, IE or Chrome on my Laptop and Nexus which are obviously using my home WiFi network. Running perfectly on my Smartphone using Android on HSPA+ connection. Weird. Not a firewall issue as the site is accessible, just not there fully. Not a virus either, at least not at the users end. Confirm, just downloaded and installed Firefox, no change Brgds Tendertony |
