I received the last ever
![]() "However today is my last day here so probably I will not see your reply in case you write me back, but I want to wish all the best in future and only good things in life." Who the hell will deal with customer complaints? Christine has left, the moderators have left. Who remains at ETV? As it is, their future is bleak, there will be no 12th birthday party for sure. |

"tomorrow never dies" this I expect on an art channel like arte, but on etv. ups etv would be on the way to an art channel.
![]() ![]() Generally speaking I hope that tomorrow never dies would be true for all of us. For the liveshows its not true, there is no tomorrow for live tv shows. ![]() ![]() Also etv said "The future is internet". Yes and no. Today every company had to be in the internet, Yes. But only a few companys had an internet only business model and the major internet only companys had a strong free internet offer. Like google with the search engine. All other internet only companys invests a lot of money for advertising, most of them in the free tv and etv killed now this advertising. For the most companys the internet is an add on. This is also true for nearly every tv channel. They had program guides, discussion forum, a lot of information, advertising and a mediathek in the internet, like the video section at etvshow, so viewers could see parts of the programm if they had miss it on tv. Why did the major tv channels did not go the same way as etv and they had IT deparments to handel this, but the computer resources must be really huge to had a good quality service and the internet backbones could not handel this huge video traffic from the major tv channels. But etv bosses are business and IT specialists and they could ignore all this. They know they had only a few viewers and they could handle this with a homemade IT. Ok, there are some livestreaming offers and portals on the internet, but if there are more than a few viewers use this service, the stream quallity and the availability drops dramaticly. This depends on a mixture of not availability of resources and bandwith. It would be realy interesting if etv could handle this quality issues in the future, if they could shift a good number of tv viewers to the internet. My last question was, what is with the satellite license etv did not use now. If I remember right, it was an austria license, with this austria try of an erotic channel from the erodome with steffi and boris. If etv could sell this license, possibly a new erotic tv channel could start. ![]() |

Last year, I expressed the utopian idea that if one does not take any effort then the channel probably will be closed!
[hidden link - please register] And yet in the difficult times we could do at least something to save the channel, if we would rallied and united all together. But that did not happen... My utopian idea so remained the utopia and the channel really closed now! ![]() |
