Continious 'riting aides progress

Last week I was challenged as to why I continue with these. Yet I have always said that their real purpose is to attempt to make the viewing even more pleasurable for everyone.

The words I write offer opinion and suggestions. Sometimes the suggestions are taken up. Not always immediately and it could well be a coincidence when they are adopted.

This week saw yet another 'coincidence'. I have never been a supporter of ad-breaks. They destroy what flow there remains in a program and they do serve to kill the calls. It's been over a year now since they hit upon the 'idea' to show the commercials as on-screen graphics. I will not claim any credit for that but do read on.

This week saw the return for a promotion of the newly restored offline chat. It would have been so easy to run a 2 minute ad for these like they did before but they chose to do it differently. So I now remind you of some words I wrote here back on the 17th August, 2007.

"In your studio there are 3 tv monitors. You have already shown that you can relay more than simple graphics on them whether it is an alternative camera shot from the live broadcast or a promotional film for that Veni show that featured Priscilla. So you can do it and and can do it consistently."

"So is it neccessary to disrupt the main action so frequently both by the main ads and the in-studio promotion when you can simply combine them. And here is how you do it. Run the ad on the monitor in the studio......"

And that is exactly what has happened. And it may well be a coincidence that the suggestion was written here. But it was written and that is what has happened and for me that his more than enough to continue reasonable abjective posts which could be read and could well be acted upon.

So your No1 fan now signs off for this week. £1.50 (including vat at 15%) the poorer - hey ! even VIP status for that (certainly pissed off atleast one sender that followed) - but a whole lot richer for the experience.
