 Also well done to the other teams who qualified today, especially Bosnia-Hercegovina, who will be at a major tournament for the first time

French coach and former football player Bruno Lucas Felix Metsu (also known as Abdoul Karim after his conversion
to Islam) died today in his birth city of Coudekerque at the age of 59, due to colon, liver and lungs cancer, diagnosed only last July: he became famous in 2002, when, as Senegal coach, reached an historical quarter-final in 2002 World Championships, defeating France and Sweden and being defeated by Turkey. He was the current coach of Qatar. My condolences to his family and friends
