Hamilton or Rosberg could win another the pole position, but there are still doubts for the race. Rosberg never a lap time in less than 1.19.000 during his long run Hamilton his best lap time in his long run was: 1.18.949 Lotus with some problems. obviously these are the feelings of Friday, but the race is Sunday and everything can change. |

Canadian GP (Montreal) – Notre-Dame island (renamed Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in 1982) 7 - 8 and 9 june.
The track is a semi-permanent circuit and is located on an artificial island in the middle of Saint Lawrence River. The first edition took place in 1978 and was won by Gilles Villeneuve. Montreal is a stop-and-go circuit with several overtaking opportunities around the lap; there are four long straights linked with tight corners and chicanes. Like at Monaco, barriers are mostly close to the track as the well-known "Wall of Champions” on the outside of the final corner. Montreal is very demanding on brakes and stressful on the rear tyres. A good traction out of slow corners is essential and the tyre wear is high. Instead the downforce level is low. There will be two DRS zones with a single detection point. Pirelli has brought its super-soft(red stripe) and medium(white stripe) tyre compounds to this race. Two sets of a new rear specification tyres will be tested during Friday's free practice sessions and if the teams will all agree the new range of Pirelli P. Zero tyres will be used at the next race at Silverstone. But in the last two weeks the controversy that everybody talks about is a secret tyre test held at Barcelona from team Mercedes AMG in conjunction with Pirelli. The situation is very controversial, and on the whole issue will decide the FIA’s International Tribunal.
