Rosberg aims on Massa's championships place .The German has yet to make up the 16 points on the Brazilian and is determined to do so. Both Toro Rosso drivers got out earlier than planned on Friday in Singapore. Jaime Alguersuari out of precaution, Sebastien Buemi as he just hit the wall. Both men hope to put it right on saturday . Sauber drivers Kamui Kobayashi and Sergio Perez, ended the first day in Singapore with a eighth and the ninth time. Both drivers have a good feeling about the first two training sessions held on the street circuit. Few surprises at Mercedes, where Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg little could predict after the first free practice. Schumacher finished 6th, while Rosberg, with a full tank, ended on the 15th place . Again a Lotus who were burned in Singapore and again involves the car of Heikki Kovalainen. The incident was cause for a short code red during the first practice.Kovalainen was the end of the day 18th on the timesheets. Teammate Jarno Trulli ended the second free practice as 20th. The team of Red Bull's was strong again this friday, with Sebastian Vettel fastest in second free practice . The German can be champion this weekend, but will not want to talk about it . Mark Webber is not quite happy yet, and finished 5th. McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton started the weekend with the fastest time in 1st practice, but came during the 2nd practice session no further than the 3rd time. Jenson Button did not have his day . The Briton made a error during braking in the 2nd practice, so he could drive no further.McLaren expects to be faster on saturday ! The Ferrari Team may be optimistic after first day in Singapore, but Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa remained more realistic. Red Bull seems out of reach yet, though everything can happen in Singapore. "The first session was interrupted so often that we could not ride as much as we would have liked," said Alonso. Massa: "The heat was a significant factor, especially in the cockpit. The tires seem pretty hard to sell, but the circuit can still change. Today was indeed very dirty. The cooling of the brakes and the engine will be important in the long race at sunday.We seem fairly competitive and maybe we can fight the McLarens. You have to ride very concentrated, once I hit the wall, but fortunately without consequences. " Timo Glock had some problems in free practice on Friday for the Grand Prix of Singapore. By a collision with Mark Webber in the first practice he had a flat tire. In the second practice, he faced with severe tire wear. The Virgin driver ended the 21st day. He came over one second short of the Lotus of Jarno Trulli. The organization of the Singapore Grand Prix will improve the curbs during the night at the Marina Bay circuit. The first Friday practice was delayed by thirty minutes off the plastic curbs got loose. To avoid these problems on saturday the organization will work hard friday night to improve the situation. Reportedly, the curbs at Turn 3 and 7 will be completely removed and painted. The drivers indicated they are not allowed to ride the white line, who is seen as outside the circuit.In turn 14 the curb at the beginning of the turn will be completely removed while adjustments are to turn 10 and 13 to ensure that these curbs to remain. The FIA will only confirm the changes to the teams, once the plan is finally executed ! The beginning of the first free practice for the Singapore Grand Prix was thirty minutes delayed . In the third and fourteenth corner of the street circuit curbs where loose. The curbs in the corners where damaged during practice for the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia. The first training was shortened to one hour.

Nico Rosberg Williams Toyota 3 Lewis Hamilton McLaren-Mercedes fastest lap on race Kimi Räikkönen Ferrari will be the 4° edition of Singapore GP (street circuit) Singapore is the first track to host an F1 race at night with artificial lighting. The Singapore Grand Prix, the Monaco of the East, is one of the slowest circuit of the season with an abundance of first and second-gear corners, with barriers very close to the track. The result is an average lap speed of just 175 km/h. It is also a phisically demanding track for the drivers because it is a long race with 23 corners per lap. The team will run with a high downforce package to give the car good stability under braking and in order to maximise traction out of the corners. The Marina Bay Circuit is one of the few anti-clockwise direction. There is very little opportunity for the drivers to overtake. So will be important the qualifying, the strategy and maybe the safety car. Perhaps someone remembers the crash gate in 2008. On this circuit, Alonso has always arrived on the podium two times first, one time third and two times got the fastest lap. The soft tyre(yellow) will be the “prime” and the supersoft tyre(orange) will be the “option”, as with Monaco. This is the most favorable combination for the Ferrari team. The FIA revealed that the DRS detection zone will be placed at Turn 4, with the activation zone right after Turn 5 and ahead of the longest straight of the Marina Bay circuit. Forecast weather: on sunday possibility of rain. Some Short news from this week part 2 :
Sergio Perez and Jules Bianchi drove on Thursday with a Ferrari F60 on the Fiorano circuit . Chances are that Team Lotus is a fitting new name for next season. Then Lotus Group can change the current Lotus Renault to rename Lotus. The name of a team or chassis changes may affect the sponsorship and TV rights ! Chances are that both Robert Kubica and Vitaly Petrov next year is not part of the line-up of Lotus Renault GP.
