the podium of the last three Hungary GP
2010 1. Mark Webber Red Bull- Renault 2. Fernando Alonso Ferrari 3 Sebastian Vettel Red Bull- Renault fastest lap on race: Sebastian Vettel Red Bull- Renault 2009 1. Lewis Hamilton McLaren-Mercedes 2. Kimi Räikkönen Ferrari 3 Mark Webber Red Bull- Renault fastest lap on race: Mark Webber Red Bull- Renault 2008 1. Heikki Kovalainen McLaren-Mercedes 2. Timo Glock Toyota 3 Kimi Räikkönen Ferrari fastest lap on race: Kimi Räikkönen Ferrari Formula One has taken place at the Hungaroring near Budapest since 1986, when it was run the first Gran Prix in a country of est Europa. It was a huge success and almost 200,000 fans showed up. So far 25 editions on this track: Schumacher 4 wins (1994 -1998 - 2001 and 2004) Hamilton 2 wins (2007 and 2009) Barrichello Button Kovalainen Alonso Webber: one win. The Hungaroring is one of the most technical and demanding circuits of the championship, despite being one of the slowest of the season. A pilot once described it as "a street circuit without the houses". The track is made up of tight and complicated corners which require precise driving. Unfortunately, there is little opportunity for the drivers to overtake and the race is often processional. So will be important the qualifying and the strategy. The Hungaroring is little used outside of the Grand Prix weekend and therefore the track can be quite dusty and low on grip at the beginning of the weekend. Usually the atmospheric temperature is very high and only in 2006 there was a wet race. Tomorrow 29 july, Alonso will celebrate his 30° birthday and on this circuit he won his first GP in 2003. the soft(yellow) and the supersoft(red) tyre will be used as “prime” and “option” respectively: just as was the case of Monaco Grand Prix. The FIA decided for a single zone DRS in this race, of course on the start finish straight, the only one on this circuit. It will be the 850° GP in the hystory of Formula One The podium after 10 races: 1° place: Vettel 6 – Hamilton 2 –Alonso 1– Button 1 2° place; Vettel 3 – Alonso 3 – Hamilton 2 – Button 1 – Webber 1 3° place; Webber 5 – Button 2 – Alonso 1 – Heidfeld 1 – Petrov 1 Fastest lap on race: Webber 4 – Hamilton 2 – Vettel 1 – Alonso 1– Button 1 – Massa 1 After this race there will be a break of four weeks. The next Grand Prix will be raced on the track most spectacular: Spa-Francorchamps with its fast corners, first of all, the legendary Eau Rouge-Raidillon. |

A short comment about the " Top 3 " voting game !
a little shuffeling in our list also this weekend ...and we have a new leader ...congratulations wolf1 but as we all can see this Championship is still close together ..so everything is still open on the halfway of this season F1 " Top3 voting " game , there can be a lot of shuffeling going on this season ...and also what is so pleasant at our list is that we have more different leaders this season than at the Formula 1 Champions list ...so i would like to say to everyone here ..come on guys/girls let's keep this up until the end of the season ..play it until the last race is done There is only 18 points difference between the new nr1 and the one on the 10th place ..and there is still 9 races to go ..so a lot of points to earn people ! And as Champion from last years " Top 3 Voting " game i want to say too everyone ....i will Not give up until the season is done !!! To end this post i would like to invite everyone back at the " Top 3 Voting " game (and maybe some new people also ) next weekend for the Grand Prix of Hungary at the Budapest circuit ! Kind Regards Shaky-Schumi |

Ferrari's pit stop team needs a lot of work in improoving tyres changing time.Or else they will keep on making their pilots loosing places in the race.Alonso could be first today. Not to mention what they did to Massa.

shaky-schumi wrote:Sorry Mr_Niceguy that you did not score points this race ..but next time it could be you scoring points and leave us behind ..so don't give up my friend Well Shaky like I always say, you win some and you loose some. You know, no offense, but the last time I watched formula one was when Senna and Mansell fought their epic battles so if I could outscore you guys well..... lets say it would reflect pourly on your expertise. I got lucky a couple of times, but with this last race it turns out true knowledge pays off in the end. |

So the odd years at the Nurburgring and the even years at the Hockenheim. The Nurburgring was also home the European Grand Prix(12 editions) and the Luxemburg GP(2 editions) the new Nurburgring has nothing to do with his ancestor Nordschleife (northern loop) considered too dangerous after the accident of Niki Lauda .(1° august 1976) For the Belgian fans, Jacky Ickx won twice on this track in 1969 (Brabham) and 1972 on Ferrari. The new Nürburgring F1 track was completed in 1984 and called GP-Strecke. The best place to overtake is the first hairpin to the right where drivers can take various different racing lines, but you need great stability under braking. From there you enter the Mercedes Arena. Will be only one DRS Zone (Drag Reduction System) for this race. The FIA has confirmed that the rules on blown diffusers will revert to those in place for the European Grand Prix for the remainder of the 2011 F1 season. The heroes of the northern loop
Next Sunday we will run the Grand Prix of Germany, at the Nurburgring, but until 1976 there was an other circuit called “die Nordschleife” The old Nurburgring was a mythical circuit with 172 corners and 22,8 km length, known as “the Green Hell”. This circuit was like a serpent of asphalt, which insinuated itself between volcanic peaks and fabulous forests. A victory at the Ring was usually the distinctive sign of a true champion. Before the start of the F1 in july 1935 was held a memorable race on this track in front of more than 250,000 viewers. One of the most famous Grand Prix race of all time. In those years the German cars were silver, Italian cars were red, English cars were green and French cars were blue. There were five powerful Mercedes (Caracciola, Fagioli, Lang, von Brauchitsch and Geier) against the Auto Union with an engine V16 cylinders (Rosemeyer, Varzi, Stuck e Pietsch) In the middle among a mixture of Maserati, ERA and Bugatti, there was the Scuderia Ferrari with an old Alfa Romeo P3 at the wheel Tazio Nuvolari. It had been raining during the night and dark clouds and fog still hung over parts of the track. After 8 laps, there were three Mercedes cars at the top, Caracciola, Fagioli and von Brauchitsch. Only 2 laps later Nuvolari was in the lead, but lost two minutes to pit stop. Over the next few laps he passed Caracciola, Stuck and Fagioli. The gap to the race leader Von Brauchitsch nicknamed “der Pechvogel”, was 1m 27sec with seven laps still remaining, but his driving style putting great pressure on his tyres, nevertheless decided not to stop to change them At the last lap just thirty seconds separated the two men; but a few kilometers from the finish line the left rear tyre of his Mercedes bursted, and so unexpectedly won a red car, an old Alfa Romeo P3 Scuderia Ferrari. After that race Nuvolari was nicknamed “der Teufel” by German fans 1° Tazio Nuvolari Alfa Romeo Scuderia Ferrari time 4 h. 08 min 04 sec. 2° Hans Stuck Auto Union + 2 min 14 sec 3° Rudy Caracciola Mercedes + 3 min 09 sec 4° Bernd Rosemeyer Auto Union + 4 min 47 sec 5° M. Von Brauchitsch Mercedes + 6 min 13 sec 6° Luigi Fagioli Mercedes + 7 min 54 sec 7° Hans Geier Mercedes + 1 lap 8°Achille Varzi Auto Union + 1 lap |
