Italian GP – 63° edition – Autodromo di Monza
It is one of the oldest race tracks in the world. The circuit was built in 1922. Ninety years ago. Monza has hosted the F1 Italian Grand Prix for every year, except one, since 1950. Only in 1980 the Italian Gran Prix was held at Imola(autodromo Dino e Enzo Ferrari, Santerno circuit). However, in the years following Imola hosted the San Marino Grand Prix, until 2006. No track in the world hosted more GP of Formula One than Monza and all the greatest champions in history have going on here. During its long history, this track has experienced exciting challenges, but also awful tragedies. Monza is the fastest circuit of the season with the highest average speeds per lap. Formula 1 engines аre аt full throttle fоr nearly 80% оf the lap. For the Italian Grand Prix is important reduce drag and increase the speeds down the straights, so at Monza the cars have the lowest downforce package of the season. The brakes are also severely tested. This circuit has changed its layout many times over the years and some chicanes(variante del Rettilineo, variante della Roggia and variante Ascari) were added for safety reason. In 1971 without these 3 chicanes, the average race speed was more than 240 km/h. and more than 250 km/h during the qualifying. Famous corners: Curva Grande(Biassono) where last year Vettel made an incredible overtaking; Lesmo(two corners fast an difficult) and above all the Parabolica one of the fastest turns in F1. It is a long right-hand turn and gradually increasing radius. The Parabolica is the final corner before the legendary main straight and a good execution with maximum exit speed is very important for a quick lap. In 2008 Vettel won at Monza his first GP, after a masterful week end in slippery conditions, driving a Toro Rosso. the only one win for a Ferrari engine in a customer chassis. For this race Pirelli has repeated the same tyre choice made last week at Spa Francorchamps: Silver hard(prime) and White medium(option). There will be two DRS zones, one on the main straight and the other from the second Lesmo to Ascari. Podium 2011: Vettel – Button – Alonso. fastest lap on race: Hamilton – pole position : Vettel 1'22''275 Podium 2010: Alonso – Button – Massa. fastest lap on race: Alonso – pole position : Alonso 1'21''962 victories for current pilots: Schumacher(5) Alonso and Vettel (2). Best finish: Raikkonen, Button and Hamilton(second place); Webber: never on podium pole position for current pilots: Schumacher(3), Alonso and Vettel (2) Raikkonen and Hamilton, (1) Never in pole Webber. fastest lap for current pilots: Raikkonen(3) Schumacher and Alonso (2), Hamilton (1) |

Maybe someone will think I'm speaking ironically, but I'm very serious on this. Today Alonso has been very lucky. He lost points, but he has saved his integrity in a very dangerous accident.
And I think there are still some drivers that believe they are doing the race start with a PlayStation. Perfect Jenson today. |

See the break of no departed not beneficial for some racers! Judging by the false start and terrible accident! Thank God nobody was hurt! The question with the winner was dropped from the very beginning! But in the middle of the leaders of the struggle was from the beginning to the end! The intrigue remains!
