That remembers me a bit of the Manchester or Liverpool electro sounds of the early 90´s.

This is a tune that takes me right back to my youth I remember dancing to this number on a P&0 ferry on the first of my many jaunts on a Brassband tour across to Germany, I might have even sneaked a few sips of beer too from some of the older members of the party I was 13 when it came out and it sounds just as fresh today that it did then all those years ago. From 1991 this was the ultimate summer dance track of that year if I remember rightly
This is another number taken from the same year 1991 which we also danced along to on the ferry, this also signalled the start of the Indie scene in the UK which established the foundations for the rise of Brit Pop to also occur Staying on track with the theme being 1991, this number was from REMs breakthrough album Out Of Time and before anybody asks this album got played to death on the tour bus for the next 2 weeks. All 3 numbers have a link you see |

Today marks 24 years since Freddie Mercury tragically passed away after a long and brave struggle against Aids. This is the last ever Queen video Freddie did filmed in June 1991, he addresses the camera at the very end with the message for his fans I still love you

As a kid growing up in the 80's Deacon Blue and Wet Wet Wet were 2 very successful Scottish bands at the time and these 2 songs really take me right back to my youth. Both songs are a clear indication of Scotlands injustice problems under Thatchers Britain with a hidden political message in both of them
It all had a happy ending ofcourse in the end as the Iron Lady as we know kicked the bucket in 2013 |
