Pretty good movie! Don't think I could watch it again though because of the "twist" lol. Check it out! 7/10 Everest (2015) - A climbing expedition on Mt. Everest is devastated by a severe snow storm. Not bad. The visuals are stunning! Would have loved to have watched this in the IMAX. 6/10 |

Finally saw this movie last night
Very solid work of Ridley Scott and Matt Damon. Impressive landscape views of the likely Mars surface. The movie was in the end better then expected although, of course, being very 'american'. Whatever could go wrong, of course, goes wrong, but still good action, good story and fantastic camera views and shots. Matt Damon portrays the stranded Botanic very good struggling between his will to survive and his very likely faith to die. Being a Botanic he developes surprisignly very good chemistry, physics and engineering skills, but maybe that's part of the Mars Astronauts training. We shouldn't take that too serious. If you are interested in such kind of movies dealing with the exploration of space you can't go wrong. For everybody else it is still solid entertainment and definitely no waste of money. Watch it in 3D !! |

The Butler (2013)
Forest Whitaker's work in this movie, based on the life of Eugene Allen, is really impressive. Took me a while though to see this movie as I had doubts whether it works for me, but I was more then positively surprised. Oprah Winfrey playing his wife does not stand back, and considering her usually being the stupid queen of talk, her acting was very very good. Rest of the cast includes Cuba Gooding jr., Lenny Kravitz, Robin Williams, Alan Rickman, Jane Fonda, Vanessa Redgrave, John Cusack, Liev Schreiber, Terrence Howard and a 3 minute cameo of Mariah Carey. My recommendation ! |

Again this movie was recently added to my SKY Movies and I was not disappointed. Directed by Angelina Jolie it delivers from the word go which is based on a true story. in years to come many will look back and refer to this movie as a classic. A must watch 10/10 |

I thought it was a decent watch, I watched it the other week as its recently been added to the SKY Movies Anytime movies to choose from. I think a lot of the controversy with regards to this film was greatly exaggerated. Not a classic but good for a chuckle or 2 6/10 |
