Sky says No to £1billion Discovery carriage price
I see that no such Thread exists for this. Well now we have one so I am now able to post the following information with regards to SKY TV UK. As it presently stands SKY are embroiled in a massive argument with US Giants The Discovery Channel and as such our choice of programming could be drastically effected. [hidden image - please register] The Discovery Channel are apparently demanding 1 billion pounds from SKY which they are refusing to pay them. As a consequence we now stand to lose at least 30 channels from our EPG which also includes channels such as Animal Planet. I am not happy at all as I value these channels and the idea of never being able to see anymore animal rescue or veterinary programmes will leave a massive gap in my viewing I pay SKY for the full package and I expect to get value for money, they don't seem to give much consideration when it comes to hiking up subscription fees but are too tight to spend the billions they have taken from loyal customers unless its for football. Well good news for all SKY customers, at the 11th hour last night SKY and Discovery Network finally reached an agreement so the channels will remain
