total nightmares, doesn't work anything more than, 10/15 maximum minutes, maybe maybe,if you get lucky, 20/25 - but strictly maximum

Yes, same here. Night recordings are nightmares.

exactly, basically is the same... and the recordings are wayyyyyyy little and short, if you try this in the night, is even worse....
like around 10 - 15 min, yesterday tried to record alexa and clare - got files of 10 min or less each...
it was a pain in the ass to merge them and try to see the result so... i've just ended up close all and fuck it
i think is the end of the recording era... sadly

Re: stream to vlc player

For those having issues with recording for any length of time, are you using S66 website or Rampant?

Rampant

Studio66

Note that although the token is the same, they are pulling them from different sources - I wonder if one is more robust than the other? Also the Rampant one is slightly different as it has .stream in the middle of it. Dunno if that makes a difference, try changing website and source and see if that fixes it?

Re: stream to vlc player

Rasputin, i'm using 3.0.6 on Win 10 64bit

Brimfan - make sure you are scrolling right to the bottom of the list of all the chunks/manifest, there are several and the latest is right at the bottom

should look something like this

First of all: THANX for Sophie's vid!
Thumb up

I did exactly what you suggest to do. I tried and I'm still trying... I switched off, I switched on, I selected "auto", I selected "high"... unfortunately, none of my rec is longer than 23 mins. Streams didn't last longer than that, so far.
Sad

P.S.: I'm using vlc 3.0. And you?

Re: stream to vlc player

I have tried all this and while I can get the "manifest" code OK, when I copy it as a URL and then paste it into "Open Network stream"in VLC, it simply comes up with the usual error message saying it can't load the stream, unrecognised format, etc. Help anybody please? thanks in advance

Where it says in the instructions to make sure you switch off the flash player, does that mean pressing stop on the onscreen player itself or actually blocking flash from the page completely???

P.S: I am trying to do this using Chrome

You do it from the player itself, at the bottom right where you can set the quality.

Streams last only 15-20 mins, then you have to restart... and restart everytime!
