What should that be?

Why do wanna connect that to a PC?

If you want to record from SKY (former Premiere) you need only a DVB-S (S2 for HD) Reciever with USB Port for extern devices prepared for recording and min. 1 CI Slot, for example COMAG SL90HDCI resp one of it's clones, i.e. Medion.
You need further a CI-Card for decrypting and a valid SKY smardcard.
With these ingredients you are ready for cooking your own SKY soups.

I would like to correct Watcher's last post.

The RF out (antenna loop-through) from any receiver has exactly the same signal that goes into it from your LNB. There will be no loss when recording that signal.

However the output is restricted if the receiver is switched on and controlling the LNB.

Component video is analogue, which means any recordings made with the Hauppauge device will need digital-analogue-digital conversion, not a good idea at all if you are wanting high quality recordings.

In brudgon's case he could take the RF out -- into a terratec cinergy s usb (for example) to PC, no problem apart from the restriction I mentioned earlier

I am not a Sky subscriber, so I will reply in generalisations.
Proprietary receiver/decoder boxes do not usually allow access to recordings in the digital domain (ie as downloadable files).
They may have USB or even LAN ports on the back but these are usually for software upgrade or additional over-air services.

You can play back recordings and capture them with a PC tuner card from the RF out socket (remodulated RF) or by taking the audio/video signal from the SCART output into an AV capture card.
Both of these methods degrade the high quality digital signal by either remodulating it onto an analogue RF channel or by a digital to analogue followed by an analogue to digital conversion.

Non proprietary receiver/decoder boxes (eg DreamBox with the correct software upgrade) can receive and decode Sky channels and allow downloads from the local hard disc (via FTP or NFS export).
You can also remotely control the DreamBox and stream the programme to a PC via an on-board web server.

edit: as pointed out by 'elmo' above, I was actually thinking of remodulated RF rather than 'antenna loop-through'

Re: Technical question,plz help

@dazaman

Unless you have the wrong internet service provider (ISP) as in my case as ORON recognise them as 1 person and say i have already downloaded 10GB, it allows me 1 download every 6 months if i'm lucky.

jdownloader is good for all apart from ORON in my case, as i have tried it.[/quote]

choose "Regular Download" on the right side below, wait 60 seconds, try to solve the captcha, create the downloadlink, klick "Download FIle" and enjoy the download.

If this doesn't help. This are 5 downloads ,right?

Sometimes, like me , I had to wait 10 hours between the files : DO Register you . Then you have to wait only 1 hour between each file !!!

Maybe you should use jDownloader , then you need only each hour , fill the captcha's in .
The proram is in here . I thought of watcher orThe Feeling Big Grin
