That, if you read all the stuff on their home page, is the privilege of the premium account. The registered free account including collector's zone is only really helpful if you upload a lot of files. |

The Rapidshare download problems persist. Now someone mentioned a few days ago that it is possible to 'register' oneself at Rapidshare, and then it should be possible to use the 'collector's zone'. True, when I click the 'free-zone' tab, I get a login for the collector's zone. But nowhere I find something to register myself. As it is under free-zone, I suppose register does not mean to buy a premium account??? How does that f***ed thing work? |

Ghostwriter, I usually download with Opera. Don't know if clearing the cache changes anything. Opera shows a list of the last downloads; the entries there can be deleted, but that does not help. I just downloaded a large file (192 MB) with Megaupload; speed arond 100 kB/sec, and no problems here. So I suppose it must have to do something with rapidshare. How long do you usually have to wait until the download starts? 120 sec. seems to be the norm now for me. |

Thanks to all who took the time to answer. Fact is: I cannot download any more (well, I didn't try in the wee hours of the morning...) Just tried again with a short file: transmission stopped after about 20 seconds (a few % of the file).. I wouldn't mind if speed is slow, but I really get nothing after a short time. Desperate (well almost ... ;-))) Maybe I will habe to ask someone to put some files on Megaupload... |

In the morning, when you are lucky you get 200 and more Kbits speed. In the evening you get max. 20 Kbits or lower. |

@ sucker I have changed the topic because we are totally out of the last topic. The problem is my old Pc. He has only place enough for Windows 98. It was a gift of my brother to learn how to use it. Every time I try to download something there is a message that it can do damage to my PC. Now that I`m infitrated with the internet virus I decided to buy a better PC for me as a christmas gift. Then I try to make a new start with uploading and downloading but in this moment it can`t happen. |
