Sorry to start a new thread, but I could find a one for it.
Has anyone else noticed a serious slow down of this image host recently? As I've noticed that this forum is struggling to load images from this host sometimes. I'm only asking, as I want to know if it is their server or my Internet Provider that's the problem. As it wouldn't be the first time my IP has put resrictions on connecting to certain sites. Cheers Ace. |

This is to let members know that there as been a major cleanup as "turboimagehost" as now got malware, so some in the UK section at least will have got a warning while trying to open a page.
I only know of one member who was using then but, if there are others using this infected host please contact Admin or one of the Mod team and if possible links to your posts. The images from that member are now gone in the UK section, so should be safe

imagevenue is usually at the weekends down.
so the same problem as most OCHs. |

Not quite this pic host, but today and other days recently i've had issues with thumbnails not loading in, worst part is there my own
 imagebam (my first choice) at best sucks, imagevenue (which i use as an alternative) yes sucks also I've either had to send them up multiple times for it to work or had to make the thumbnails smaller for them to activate. So if you check some of my posts from today and see no thumbnails, not my fault they are there

Not you the files you mention are "png" and not "jpg" in some cases it can slow a page down almost as much as a embedded videobam post, png's are much larger sometimes up to 1MB and jpg is usually 200kb or not much more.
Its the file size that slows it down so much. |
