TORONTO, Jan. 5 (UPI) -- The owners of a Toronto convenience store looked to the Internet for help stopping squirrels from stealing their candy bars. [hidden image - please register] Reddit user Quilterrday shared a post in October noting that one or more squirrels regularly sneaked into the family convenience store to steal candy bars. [hidden image - please register] "For around a week or two, a squirrel (either the same one or maybe not) has been coming in when we are not looking, taking a chocolate bar, and dashing off," Quilterrday wrote. "It's a different bar each time -- O'Henry, Mr. Big, etc. It happens about once every 2-3 days." They designed a boat that uses human energy to sail down the Seine River in Paris [hidden image - please register] The boat is 65-feet-long (20-meter long) and holds up to 45 people. “The Paris Navigating Gym investigates the potential of harnessing human power,” Carlo Ratti said. It provides one with a tangible experience of what lies behind the often abstract notion of ‘electric power’.” It’s still in development, but the designers estimate that it could be completed in 18 months.
