Bringing last week's 'news' up to date.............. This is the sad, but true, story of Mr Rat and Mr Mole. A while back they were colleagues of Mr Toad who ran his ice-cream business out of Toad Hall. And a very successful ice-cream business it was too. But this success was not enough for Mr Rat and Mr Mole who had dreams of opening their own ice-cream business. One that would be even better than that of Mr Toad's. Their plan was simple in the extreme. Introduce some new flavours while at the same time bring back some of the flavours that Mr Toad had stopped producing a long time ago. A plan so simple that they would get the customers of Mr Toad running to them. But while some customers could not get enough of the old flavours as these were much to their taste, the majority of the present customers still preferred the flavours being offered by Mr Toad. So the business was not as succcessful as Mr Rat and Mr Mole had dreamt of. And it turned out that Mr Mole was a rat and Mr Rat was not clever enough to be a mole. They dismissed all their flavours both the old ones and the new ones and ran away to a country where they hope they can start another ice-cream business. Of course they realised that Mr Toad still had his, for them much too successful, business so part of their new plan was to discredit the business of Mr Toad and persuade his loyal customers into thinking that his ice-cream was coming to the end of its production line.............. The writer of this new version of a classic tale wishes to apologise most profoundly for being in any way party to passing on these spurious rumours. He wishes to apologise to anyone who read them and reacted in the way that the information was designed to. What's more he now feels a total prat for believing something that the bit between his ears should have told him different. We can all make mistakes. That was mine. I can assure everyone that as far as I am concerned Mr Rat and Mr Mole are in a big hole and they will probably dig an even bigger one as they try to find their way out of it. As far as this writer is concerned, even if Mr Rat and Mr Mole surface again they have totally lost my support. A few days ago, I made a statement that I would contribute to a charity or hospice if some events follow a certain course. The written part of this has already happened and I am most obliged for the respondent in taking the time out for the reply. I will probably not wait until 1st December for the next part. Life is too precious a commodity for that. I have chosen the charity which is a hospice for terminally ill children. They may not live to see Christmas so hopefully my donation will make their days ahead just a little easier. And speaking of the days ahead, I have promised to be more respectful in the future. While that may be boring to read I would hope that it will serve to offer suggestions to make the channel even more watchable in the future. And if it can be more watchable it will also encourage more callers. And that, however obscure it may have appeared, was my only real purpose. One day, the channel will be no more. Thankfully, it is not the time right now. |

As most of the ones suffering from the activities of the persons in the fairy tale are in etv city, my donations will go there. If anyone from etv city can help me in finding the right charity, please contact me under [Versteckter Link - Registrierung notwendig] . |
