Day Two. Will this series make it to seven ?

Ten German Words you must learn before you die.

Being one of those fortunate (or should that be unfortunate) souls who can watch this tv on either Astra or Hotbird, there are advantages and disadvantages to both. Watch on Astra and I hear a language that I barely understand. Watch on Hotbird and I now also hear a language that I can barely understand. But on the whole, I watch on Astra as there are slightly less visual distractions by means of on-screen graphics.

So having made the choice, I felt honour bound to pick up on a few words considering my basic German was learnt watching Tutti Frutti. And the very first word I picked up on is 'also'. Now this, I thought, must be a really important word since if I listen when good ol' Hans is on the mic I hear this word in practically every sentence he speaks. Also I thought that there is even an English word here. Learning German will be a steal as we use the same words. Also I soon realised that I also cannot use these words inter-changeabily as they also have somewhat different meanings unless I also, like Hans, am talking another load of crap.

But since I have your attention I also will conclude with today's thought :

There is no place for a man in front of the camera on this tv. There is even less place in front of a camera for a man who has also forgotten to get a new blade for his razor.

re: the misuse of the German language
a word you may or may not have in your collection is >> eigentllch << a bit of a tongue twister when spoken properly.

this word is misused by Amanda, the Gnubbel (a model who adores centre stage and who would in fact make a much better door than a window), to start many sentences, the meaning of which, as one can see below are very varied.
