In his own words...

Most people on here take the words written for granted. But more often than not, much thought goes into them and what you see is finely tuned before it reaches your eyes. To illustrate what I mean, today I wish to present a recent post written as it was originally intended :

Young Harri here. You may not know this but I recently spent some time in the land of make believe looking up some old acquantances (and hoping to look up some new ones). And there I was sitting at this cafe blowing sweet nothings into a bowl of yoghurt when there was a tap on my shoulder. Expecting to see the local militia arresting me for the gross mis-use of that said bowl I was pleasantly surprised to see dear Uncle Ebeneezer. Surprised really as I do not expect to see him outside during the daylight hours but there's always a first for everything.

But that was only the first surprise. Since he was eager to get back indoors he invited me back to 'the pad'. "We'll take a taxi" he said as the bus was very un-reliable. "Trust you have some small change as these drivers hate changing big notes". Did I tell you that Uncle Ebeneezer was a bit of a scrooge ?. And why did the driver keep on calling him 'boss' ?. Maybe this really was where he made all his money. But best not to go there as someone will sure put two and two together and engineer a five as the answer.

The journey seemed to take for ever. So I certainly did not have to worry about having small change. On arrival at 'the pad', I was invited for a coffee. Now these surroundings were certainly familiar to me having seen the video of cousin Veni and cousin Georg interviewing potential candidates. But now the small change really did come useful as the machine refused to accept euro notes. Did I tell you that Uncle Ebeneezer was a bit of a scrooge ?

After talking to Uncle for what seemed to be all of five minutes I was free to discover 'the pad' on my own. Another tap on the shoulder and I was transported to 'see something nice'. That's right, behind the red curtain was a strip. And all I had to do was stand there with hoover to hand - you know the one you saw in the other little filum - and make sure that the strip of dust vanished quicker than you could say VIP.

Of course Uncle Ebeneezer was not going to let me go without entertaining me with his holiday videos. Now one of those, if I must be prague-amatic, is quite familiar to many of you. But at least I now know just who that man in the mask really was. The other one appeared to be set in some sunny beach except I saw little sun and not much beach either. But Uncle's companions were nice and you would like them too if you had the opportunity to see it.

So I left 'the pad' safe with as much new knowledge as you get if you risk your eyesight after trying to make out just who really was behind that red curtain. I kept my underpants on at all times. Or to put it another way, you will also wonder as you read this why did I bother as you know just as much now as you knew before.
