As well as the CSA on Hotbird.

False. the CSA in France has the right to close a channel because the hotbird company is in France, it is on the stroke of the French law, so dependent on the CSA.

....

Some explanations.
This concerns only those cca 30 erotic channels on Astra, which broadcasted low bit rate still images as an advertisments for erotic phone lines. Any other normal channels even with erotic content ( Eurotic TV, Sexysat etc.) are not listed and never will be.
What is important, the reason why these channels will be removed is not the KJM protest, but Astra itself.
Why all this? It's a simple business. The future is HD broadcasting, which needs more space on the frequencies, and which cannot be guaranteed by Astra, because the satellite is already full. So, Astra voluntary decided to end the contracts with these low gualities erotic "pseudo channels" to make some free space and thus be prepared for the future.
KJM has nothing to do with that, it's only badly presented in the news as their victory. In fact KJM has no rights and no chance to remove any channel if the licence is outside the country. As well as the CSA on Hotbird.

A lot of bird twitter a lot of..

But I know that this year was the last year for the ZDF (znd german television) series "Summer Night Phantasies".
No official comment why it will be cancelled.

That's not correct, ETV had a "normal" license for a "news"-channel in 2004 (I've never seen at that time) but this license was "upgraded" to an erotic one in 2008.

The main problem weren't naked breasts or butts at daytime, the main problem was the interacting and the "animating" for calling expensive services, esp. erotic hotlines, and for writing expensive SMSes.
Another problem was the promt of explicit SMS-text.

Prompting of explicit SMS content is prevented by programs and by moderators (that's their main task), but the animation for calling numbers still exists -> the calls for the girls in the studio!

And this point is not only one thorn in European Commision's flesh.
I'm not 100% in the theme and I don't know what will come in near future but Astra is on the way to dismiss many of those "Call me" channels.
AN the other hand Astra is commercial corporation and so they won't cancel all those from one day to the other without having substitutes.
Astra (and Eurobird, too) want to prevent rigrid rules (and following national laws) by the European Commision.
Here are all decissions on eUrotic by the KommAustria [Versteckter Link - Registrierung notwendig]
2004: 8 h talk shows and news with 2 repeats per day on HotBird
2005: 24 h on HotBird
2006 24 h teleshopping on ASTRA and HotBird
The license is always the same, you just have to declare the content you're going to provide so the commission can prove certain points important for specific programs (like independence and fair balance for news channels)

Re: Eurotic TV - General Discussion

I know i started the discussion but

remember some years that America would forbid porn about the 11. September.

At least it was hot air and they are stronger now.

I don´t think Astra will close the channel because they need money and if the rules are stricter you must forbid the selling channels like H24, too because they are telling more lies as other channels.

Amen and out. I watch now Wacken at ZDF Kultur.

Note:
10 years back in every french bistro, in every rish pub, in every italian coffee bar smoking was normal.
Today: No Smoking at all.

..and now on topic:

Perhaps some of you have recognized that last night Angelina captured Jane for a little erotic lesson.
Normally she don't need any words, but last night there was some discussion..
Let's wait and see...

Re: Eurotic TV - General Discussion

Hi Vappiano,

i am OT, too.

For me i don´t have problems if the lose the Transponter at Astra. I can view via Satellite Hotbird, too. And for a german it is no problem to buy a Adaper for 20 Euro or less to view ETV at Hotbird.

But does ETV that want? This is the question.
What they do is always minus because cut Astra you loose a lots of viewers and stay at Astra with Kindergardenshows you loose, too.

Re: Eurotic TV - General Discussion

Sorry for the OT

But censorship in Etvland is very strange...

Everytime we can read that document (referring to daytime, year 2008).
But everyone remember what we saw during the nightshows of last year (2010).

Now someone gives another explanation:

Astra is going to forbid erotic channels. So the problem should be Astra.
Therefore there is another thing I can't understand:

HvB told us that Etv has a common license for a 'normal' channel, not a particular license for an erotic channel.
How could Astra (or another transponder) have the possibility to stop ETV?
If ETV has a regular license for 'normal' channel, I think that it's very difficult for Astra to say what channels are allowed and what are not.
What should be the discriminant if the licenses are the same?

I think that ETVland is a very strange land...
and what is good today is not good tomorrow, but probably will be good the day after tomorrow...
