Well done to Wales for putting in a marvellous effort the whole Tournament. Nobody expected them to even qualify for the Euros and even when they did they were expected to go out at the group stages as they were one the lowest ranked sides there. To everybody's surprise they quietly went about the business of achieving the impossible. An achievement I don't think they'll ever match or get close to ever again.
Irrespective now of who wins the Tournament, Wales will be the ones I'll remember more than any of the others. Well done you did your nation proud tonight and throughout the whole of Euro 2016 [Verstecktes Bild - Registrierung notwendig] |

I recently got slated by an Englishman on my facebook page when I took the piss out of his country in which he stated at least we qualified unlike Scotland. I then pointed out to him with a qualifying group that included Germany, Poland and Republic Of Ireland that it was always going to be a big ask. Lets not forget to give the Welsh a mention, some feat for a nation with a population of just 3.63 million. The only home nation in the UK that really let itself down was England and I'm fed up with the pundits on the BBC and ITV still discussing the plight of England instead of fully focussing on the games at present.

Congratulations to Iceland who have a population the same size as Leicester roughly to be 330,000. A surprise qualifier for this tournament but nonetheless they are here on merit
England thought all they needed to do was turn up and victory would be there's and it appeared to go to script when they were awarded an early penalty but then to their astonishment they get hit by 2 Iceland goals in the space of 10 minutes in which they could never recover from as Iceland defended like there lives depended on it. All the talk pre match was how England would fare in the Quarter Finals against France in the Quarter Finals with tonight's opponents Iceland being held mainly in contempt with even those suggesting that they didn't even have the right to be there in the first place. That's what you get for this kind of arrogance, truly humbled. England manager Roy Hodgson resigned immediately after the game but if truth be known he was getting sacked nonetheless and never wanted to give the English FA the satisfaction of doing it. Iceland go marching on whilst England go out. On behalf of the people of Scotland we are all truly devastated with the result (not) |
