Men' s Singles : Rafael Nadal (2) won his 86th ATP tournament in career (20th Grand Slam and 13th French Open), defeating
Novak Djokovic (1) 6-0, 6-2, 7-5 after 2h 41'

First set was dominated by the Spanish champion, who broke three times the Serbian champion, saving only three break-points in the fourth game and winning the set 6-0 after 44'; in second set Nadal broke again two times his opponent, in third and fifth game, without saving any break-point and closing the set 6-2 after 51'; third set was the more balanced, with the Maiorcan breaking again the Serbian in fifth game, but getting broken back for the first time in the match in the very next game, then, in 11th game, Djokovic lost his serve for the 7th time in the match and Nadal easily won his 13th Final in the French Open, matching Roger Federer record of 20 Grand Slam titles.

Women' s Singles : Iga Swiatek won her first WTA tournament in career, defeating Sofia Kenin (4) 6-4, 6-1 after 1h 24'

In first set, Swiatek starts better, going 3-0, but, in fifth game, she complicates her life by committing four unforced errors, including a double fault, and returns the break. Kenin regains courage and hangs up on 3 all, then, in eighth game, at the third opportunity, the 19-year-old from Warsaw breaks her opponent's again, going
5-3, in the very next game, however, after missing a set-point, she lose again her serve, but in tenth game, Swiatek closes the set 6-4 after 50', with too many errors on both sides; in second set, is Kenin to start with a break advantage, however, the 21-year-old from Pembroke Pines, Florida (born in Moscow) immediately gets broken back, then, on 2-1 for Swiatek, Kenin asks for a medical time-out for a left leg problem and, when she comes back, the problem seems really serious, since she looks unable to run normally : Swiatek does not get distracted and, with a 17-3 points partial, goes 5-1, closing then the match 6-1 at first match-point, winning the tournament without losing a single set and losing only 28 games in 7 matches and becoming the second non-seeded player to win the French Open (after Jelena Ostapenko in 2017) and the first Polish player, man or woman, to win a Grand Slam trophy.
