new tyres in F1. The tyre compound quickly degrades and the cars are not able to maintain a constant performance for a series of consecutive laps. So the life of tyres is very limited, and even the performance falls very soon. This year we will have races with lots of pit stops (probably 3), as required by FIA to the new supplier of tyres to make the competitions more uncertain until the arrival
For example this is a long run(13 laps) of Alonso on last Friday Lap time 1. 1:28.849 2. 1:28.950 3. 1:28.653 4. 1:29.051 5. 1:29.307 6. 1:30.796 7. 1:29.559 8. 1:30.026 9. 1:30.386 10. 1:30.102 11. 1:30.767. 12. 1:30.743 13. 1:30.920 look at the gap between the first and last lap |

The Formula One season-opening grand prix in Bahrain was canceled on Monday due to ongoing anti-government demonstrations in the Middle Eastern country.
The Bahrain Grand Prix was scheduled for March 13, but race organizers announced its decision after days of speculation that the event held at Bahrain International Circuit would be canceled. Organizers released a statement announcing, "the Kingdom of Bahrain would withdraw from hosting this year's F1 Grand Prix race, so that the country can focus on its process of national dialogue." The 3.914-mile (6.299-kilometer) BIC road course is located roughly 20 miles south of Bahrain's capital city Manama, where deadly clashes have occurred between protesters and riot police. Protesters are calling for the removal of the country's ruling monarchy. Bahrain's Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa informed Formula One's top boss Bernie Ecclestone of the decision on Monday. The Crown Prince said in a statement, "At the present time, the country's entire attention is focused on building a new national dialogue for Bahrain. "Although Bernie Ecclestone had graciously made clear that a decision on the race was entirely Bahrain's to make and was not yet required, we felt it was important for the country to focus on immediate issues of national interest and leave the hosting of Bahrain's Formula 1 race to a later date." No decision has been made on a new date for the Bahrain GP. Therefore, the first F1 grand prix on the 2011 calendar is now scheduled for March 27 in Melbourne, Australia.
