This was Ferrari’s first 12-cylinder engine to reach 2-litre capacity. As in the case of the 159 S, bore sizes and strokes were both increased, and as usual both open-wheel and full bodywork models were produced. This model proved successful and was one of the first to do well outside Italy, helping to build a reputation for Ferrari in the all-important American market.

she looks so futuristic and was the 1969 !!! today we lost that ideal futuristic design i wonder why ..why
we don't have that daring point of view anymore.

Expecially for a Ferrari. I love this car. I love you Ferrari.

The 1969 Ferrari 512 S Berlinetta Speciale concept by Pininfarina helped transition Ferrari design from vintage brick-like shapes to a much more modern wedge style that still can be seen today in models like the Ferrari 458. The 512 S Berlinetta Speciale Concept was first shown in 1969 at the Turin Auto Show in Northern Italy. Despite the 512 moniker, it didn't have a 5.0L V-12 engine. Instead, it was actually built on a damaged Ferrari 312 P Spyder racecar with a mid-mounted 3.0L (2990 cc) V-12. The wedge shaped body was penned by Filippo Sapino and featured a flip-up canopy roof. This style was a radical departure from the Ferrari designs of the past and strongly influenced the look of future Ferrari cars. Note this one-off concept shouldn't be confused by the 1970-1971 Ferrari 512 S Berlinetta Speciale racecars with the same name. To add to the confusion, most 512 S Berlinetta Speciale racecars were later converted to M (modificato) specifications. Therefore, their names changed to Ferrari 512 M.

The 512 S Berlinetta Speciale concept is an important car because it was one of the first wedge-shaped designs created by a top designer during his brief employment at Pininfarina that ultimately led to two of the most popular Ferraris ever. This modern wedge shape was a first for Ferrari, but not for the automotive world. Other brands explored the same idea as seen with the Lancia Stratos Zero, Masterati Boomerand and Lamborghini Bravo. The designer, Filippo Sapino only worked for Pininfarina for a few years. He is also credited for the Ferrari 365 GTC/4 design. Ironically, Sapino is much more famous for being the Chief of Ghia, another top Italian design firm (owned by Ford), where he penned the Ford Pinto and Escort. The 512 S Berlinetta Speciale concept directly led to the Ferrari Berlinetta Boxer (365 GT4 BB, 512 BB, 512i BB and BB LM) from 1973 to 1984 and then the Ferrari Testarossa (Testarossa, 512 TR and F512 M) from 1984 to 1996.

The Auto Avio Costruzioni 815 was the first car to be fully designed and built by Enzo Ferrari. Legal issues with former associates Alfa Romeo prevented Ferrari from creating the Ferrari marque. The 815 raced at the 1940 Brescia Grand Prix, where both entries failed to finish due to engine problems. One of the cars was later scrapped, while the other is currently in a car collection in Italy.

[Versteckter Link - Registrierung notwendig]
On 8 April 2010, Ferrari announced official details of the 599 GTO. The car is a road-going version of the 599XX and Ferrari say the 599 GTO is their fastest road car ever, able to lap the Fiorano test circuit in 1 minute 24 seconds, one second faster than the Enzo Ferrari. Its engine produces 670 PS (493 kW; 661 bhp) at 8250 rpm, with 620 N·m (460 lb·ft) of torque at 6500 rpm. Ferrari claims the 599 GTO can reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in under 3.35 seconds and has a top speed of over 335 km/h (208 mph). At 1,605 kilograms (3,540 lb), the 599 GTO weighs almost 100 kg (220 lb) less than the standard GTB. Production will be limited to 599 cars. Ferrari has given only two other models the GTO designation: the 1962 250 GTO and the 1984 288 GTO. Unlike the previous GTOs however, the 599 GTO was not designed for homologation in any racing series.

ferrari 430 scuderia (2008)
[Versteckter Link - Registrierung notwendig]

Serving as the successor to the Challenge Stradale, the 430 Scuderia (scuderia meaning "stable of horses", but also used in the context of motor racing teams, including Ferrari's own) was unveiled by Michael Schumacher at the 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show. Aimed to compete with cars like the Porsche RS-models and the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera (superleggera meaning super light weight), it is lighter (by 100 kg/220 lb) and more powerful (515 PS (379 kW; 508 hp) at 8500 rpm) than the standard F430. Increased power comes from a revised intake, exhaust, and an ion-sensing knock-detection system that allows for a higher compression ratio.[11] Thus the weight-to-power ratio is reduced from 2.96 kg/hp to 2.5 kg/hp. In addition to the weight saving measures, the Scuderia semi-automatic transmission gained improved "Superfast", known as "Superfast2", software for faster 60 millisecond shift-times. A new traction control system combined the F1-Trac traction and stability control with the E-Diff electronic differential. The Ferrari 430 Scuderia accelerates from 0-100 kilometres per hour (62 mph) in 3.6 seconds, with a top speed of 198 miles per hour (319 km/h). Ferrari claims that around their test track, Fiorano Circuit, it is faster than a Ferrari Enzo.

[Versteckter Link - Registrierung notwendig]

The Ferrari 612 Scaglietti is a grand tourer produced by Ferrari between 2004 and 2010. It is a large two door fastback coupé. The 612 Scaglietti was designed to replace the smaller 456 M; its larger size makes it a true 4 seater with adequate space in the rear seats for adults.
The design, especially the large side scallops and the headlights, pays homage to the custom 1954 Ferrari 375 MM that director Roberto Rossellini had commissioned for his wife, Ingrid Bergman.
