Re: Curious things that I like

Teotihuacan also written Teotihuacán was a pre-Columbian Mesoamerican city located in the Valley of Mexico, 30 miles (48 km) northeast of modern-day Mexico City, known today as the site of many of the most architecturally significant Mesoamerican pyramids built in the pre-Columbian Americas. Apart from the pyramids, Teotihuacan is also anthropologically significant for its complex, multi-family residential compounds, the Avenue of the Dead, and the small portion of its vibrant murals that have been exceptionally well-preserved.

Re: Curious things that I like

Hi guys, One Tree hill,,Honor Oak London SE
It is a Nature Reserve, but ,to be honest, it is a large park
with some history attached in May1602 as the legend goes
Elizabeth 1st had an liasion with a Sir Richard under a large
Oak Tree, hence the name "One Tree Hill" the tree is still there
with a fence round it!! it became an open space since 1905
the largest brick built reservoir was constructed under the hill
and a 9 hole golf course built on top of it called "The Aquarias"
Cheers My FriendsSmileSmile
