5 streams and they cannot have a stream like the Tv but without OSG
 ?

Looks like sky channel 942 might be the place for sin tv, there's something called sinful breakfast scheduled for 08/04. And then from noon it says preview.

Without some sort of schedule to advertise who is on, which stream, and when, likely we'll miss key events and they'll not get as many callers.
Yesterday several streams were used, some at same time, and I for one missed the Kara and Ella show as it was on stream 2, with stream 1 and 5 both showing stuff as well (which I was recording). I doubt anyone can realistically record all 5 streams in HD as it will be close to 70Gb traffic per day based on their current viewing hours of 14:00 to 23:00 (UK time). |

Thanks for the codes man,
I didn't even bother trying to get these because they were HLS and they are usually a pain in the ass. They work great, it did catch me off guard when nothing happens in the DOS window displaying data but they do capture, I can stop using RMC now =D

Recognising they're still testing some things, in the interest of feedback to help make this new channel be the best it can possibly be, I believe they should fix a few problems.
1. Audio - its poor quality, breaks-up a lot, and is wildly out of sync with video - ranging from 2 seconds to 3.6 seconds yesterday for example 2. Video - improve VBR encoding to reduce picture break-up. This happens on both SD and HD streams, so it's not just about bandwidth but encoding as well 3. Video - they've changed something in last couple of days which has introduced a green line at bottom of the video picture. Suggesting encoder isn't correctly configured or there's an error being introduced in workflow/systems between camera and streaming server They might also want to take a look at the people/company who wrote the code for the website as some of it clearly comes from another project they wrote, and weirdly that seems to have been about faith and religion ! EDIT: As they're using Vision 247 for their services, also known as playout247, I'm guessing some of this could be with their provider and less about their systems. |
