This website is living dangerously.

I write this as a former moderator/administrator of this site and its forums. You may wonder why I should bother so I will tell you.

Crazy or not I still care about the site if only for the time and work I put into it and also that its basic principles should be maintained. Those principles were set out in carefully crafted rules and directives. Rules to ensure the privacy of individuals. Rules to protect the basic right that no one who contributes to the website should need to suffer any form of abuse. And equally that anyone who may just read the site should not feel they have been abused.

If these basic rules are not administered then the whole website is at risk. At risk since those who are discussed will eventually have enough and take the whole ship down.

So it concerns me greatly when a former topic which presented personal information of a former model was allowed to remain for some days and was only eventually removed due to external pressure.

So it concerns me when a current topic - one that should have been consigned to the bin IMMEDIATELY - is still active. And since it is still active, and very prominent, it invites even more attention. Attention that does not put this site in a favourable light.

This site may value its independence. But if this topic was written in the official forum it, and the poster, would now be history. For it to remain, it tells me several things.

1. The rules, although still present, no longer exist.
2. If they still exist, the people who are meant to enforce them to not do their work.
3. If they do not do their work then they, by default, are endorsing the comments in the topic.

So you may ask why I need to write all this here and not communicate by the PM system. Well I already did that over 30 hours ago and several hours before that I passed on my opinion via someone still in personal contact with these people. That they chose to ignore these emphasises their ignorance in these matters.

And if you stumble across these words I doubt if you will care. But I am entitled to my opinion and here it is. For now.

Re: This website is living dangerously.

You Mr. P are so right. Having multiple accounts in a forum can lead to a dangerous life.

Wanna ban me for that as well ?

Yet it is perfectly clear what type of member you prefer to have here. So I will save you the trouble.

BTW Congratualtions on the deft piece of editing which is more than the topic deserves.

Re: This website is living dangerously.

First of all thanks for your extensive argumentation, 2 sentences would have been sufficient though.

Let me use this opportunity to remind you of the fact that using multiple accounts on this website can lead to a dangerous living too. Sorry for going slightly off-topic, but as website owner I'm entitled to that as well.
