of course I thank every video maker for his vid but I don't press the Thx button under every vid.
and I have a simple explanation for this: if I press the Thx button for every vid I'll loose the control about which one I've downloaded and which not.
I'm sorry for the video maker but it's the easiest way for me not to loose a summary.
and I doubt that any video maker thinks that I don't appreciate his work. I know (too well) the pain of video making.
for example my stats: 1 min etv vid = 15 Mb = 1.5 mins encoding = 5:20 mins uploading. with editing and searching for a new audio ~10 mins needed for 1 min video.

most new threads are in the Open Zone and I must confess that I don't read every new thread because I simply don't have the time for this. I read every post in the etv & Fickie TV threads and also the other Astra channels, the Fuego & DF threads, the Off Topic and ... and ... and ... sadly I have only enough time to read the EliteTV posts and some of the other UK posts and not all the others but at some point also my free time is over. 8 hours working are 11 hours away from home for me and the morning starts with checking the forum and checking the schedules, too. in the evening is the choice between making vids, searching for new caps or the daily Mod chat about the forum.
in some weeks this takes much more than 40 hours and so of course more than the regular job.
so you can be sure that I'm "fighting" for the forum and you also can be sure that I'm not happy about the etv threads at the moment.
in total I've been searching in the last weeks more than a complete day for new caps and for which vids are missing in the Multi Media section and I've been uploading nearly 200 Gb to RS in the last weeks and I've spent every week several hours as Mod with moving or deleting posts, writing PMs and discussing topics regarding the forum so that I have not even yet reviewed the last etv night shows nor the last weekend when I was away most of the time. and as you've read I'll try to clean up some V&Cs tomorrow.
for all this time and work I'll get ~0 Thx because all of this isn't directly visible.
if I missed to give a Thx in the past I'm sure most forum members will excuse this.

PS: maybe some forum members will understand and forgive that I've answered nearly no private PMs in the last days.

3400 in 27 month are ~4 Thx/day which is more than for 99% of the forum.
I give a Thx for more vids than I download (less than 5 a month at the moment), I give Thx for information which is new for me and I give Thx for posts which express my opinion. I neither give a Thx for answering me nor do I exclude anyone with my Thx.
I don't give Thx for every suitable post and I don't expect a Thx for everyone of my posts because I don't say Thx to every bus driver or sales woman in real life, too. They do only their normal job and posting in a forum is a normal job, too.
Giving always and everywhere a Thx is like kissing all arses and I guess it's more important to think about giving Thx like to think about making a post or giving a Rep, too. Every posts and also every vid is welcome because this keeps the forum alive but thanking always and everyone is like a false kissing all arses.

but anyway: it's off topic here and also I doubt that I must justify myself for giving or not giving a Thx.

of course the Fucking Bastards & Idiots took away the chance to compare the downloads and also it depends of the "hotness" of a video but the downloads for Lilian vids aren't less than for other models. iirc I've posted one day 8 vids including Lilian, Amy, Kristina and e.g. Claudia and some days later the Lilian vid was the one with most downloads. but most downloaders don't dare to see their names under the vids of models like Lilian, Marayah or Lace.
the Thanks under a video are often more a sign of the popularity of a model than a sign for the number of downloads.

and I guess the average Thx ratio is more 5% than 10%.

In some cases maybe the problem could be you can see who said "Thanks", some seem not to dare to have their name e.g. under an Aria video (haven't tried a Lilian video yet ), though her videos have similar download numbers like Kristina videos the ratio of "Thanks" usually is much lower.
Anyway, I'm rather amused about that

@brudgon what Tarl_Cabot means is you have a link to download in your post which as no information of file size, so as its a H/C vid most will click to download and then see its nearly 1 gig in size and with RS being so kind it will take over 1 day to download but as they have clicked on the link it then shows as a download

Also there is always the other possibility that your link is also on another site now so showing there download count.

Also the opposite case can happen.
For example, I himself have given thank you in some video, without unloading it, only to be grateful for the effort of some videomaker.
And I know that this is done by more members (unfortunately, few ones).

the filesize is not visible on the thumbnail. many downloaders klick on the link and if they see the filesize they will probably decide not to download this file with a download speed of 30 kB/s because it will take several hours. so it's possible that many wanted to download but decided not to download and as a not downloader they gave no Thx. also it's possible that some tried it several times until the download was finished. you cannot know if clicks on the link or complete downloads. on MU was a very fast rising download counter often a sign for problems of the server because the downloaders tried it several times.
