A sad thought for all my Polish friends further to the crash of the plane where was their president and an important delegation.

Even if he didn't explicit insist, the general in the cockpit created pressure on the pilots which can have lead to a wrong decision. Anyway, in the end they tried to land in weather conditions without necessary technical equipment, doutzends of hobby pilots crash every year for same reason. Regards Joker |

Kaczynski insisted on landing in Smolensk, and as in the past he already fired pilots who didn't do what he wanted the pilots didn't dare to reject and tried a landing in sight conditions where they wouldn't have done if they had a choice. Additionally the flight control personal mistook when supervising the landing approach so the desaster was waiting to happen. Today is 2 years from the biggest catastrophe of the Polish nation in postwar times.
I keep in mind that Saturday morning when I heard the news of the disaster. Where he was killed the Polish president and the most prominent Polish politicians and social activists, the military and clergy. Flying to pay tribute to murdered Polish officers at Katyn. Two years have passed and the cause of the crash still not solved!!! Sometimes I wonder if someone depends on them to explain the disaster? Anyway, another sad anniversary. R.I.P |

Today marks the first anniversary of this terrible tragedy of the Polish nation.

To all the Polish member's of our site, my sincere condolences...this is tragic news and so ironic in the horrible legacy of Katyn. Even though I am American, the pain is felt in this loss. Rest in peace...
