Salome, where she danced

As ever, just a few words intended for those that read but rarely write. It is said that a week is a long time in the dream factory and the past week is no exception. A few plusses. Shortly after my 'depressed' post, the bulk supply of blowing bubbles ran out. I hope that the supplier remains in business after the loss of his latest customer but this is one loss I will not regret. In that same thread, I talked out the need for at least a little provocation during the day hours and this came in several ways. I will repeat here that I strongly believe that the 'warmer' content via the internet is a non-working proposition. Thankfully, it was tried once and only once. Let's keep it that way. So what followed on the next few days was I believe a few more attempts to find a solution to the problem. I still believe that the venetian blind/strip curtain was a good solution. You did not need anyone to operate it. You could leave it open for nearly full visibility and just move the camera slightly to effectively 'close' it when required. Sadly, that was only tried once. But ever capable to re-use old props, as I write, the red curtains seem to be the mode of choice. What is interesting about both of these props is that some models who I believe would never even partly undress in full view gain more confidence when the vision is masked. The perfect example here is Clio. Others have shown that maybe in the right conditions they would go somewhat ferther. What most fail to understand that it is, and always has been, the model's choice of when they work. So if they do not want to do night-shows (and would you want to work until 4 am ?) then they will not appear under these conditions. Of course even this latest mode throws up the usual inconsistences of the channel. On some shows there is only one curtain employed and then they play around with two. Most of the time, one is more than enough since with two and the wrong light (and that is also messed around with) the girls might not have even been there as you simply cannot see anything. And what I mean by this is that if the purpose of this is to reveal a little and tease a lot then just be consistent with the use of the curtain(s) and the light. As the week developed it was noticable that the models were now allowed to be even more relaxed in full view. Bikini/Bra tops were now being allowed. And on saturday morning the unthinkable happened. A model was allowed to undress in view of the camera but still being careful of what she revealed. She even did not-so-successful hand-bra's and other ways to keep 'em covered. At one point she even used some flowers. But what again was noticable was that the same model appeared in the next show and there was no undressing whatsoever. So I ask myself did the director of that show go to far or simply test the water. Did they find that water too hot and it needed cooling down. But if that level of exposure is allowed we will be back to what we had last June. So again there has to be some coinsistency in the presentation. The callers who saw that first show will have been pleased but if they continued to the next they would have been confused. And when there is confusion there is doubt. And that doubt will be returned in poorer results. And that will not be good for anyone connected to the tv. |
