Interactive Art

In his most gracious mail to me this week the man from the inside stated that he no longer reads these pages. I hope that this is bravado on his part as he may well like these words and the already prepared text for tomorrow.

It is often claimed that many of the ideas for the tv come from this forum. Some they adopt. Some (including mine) they dismiss as unworkable. I will not take any credit for the latest idea but I do wish to quote a few words from an earlier post written at the time of the theater pieces....

"But reading the thoughts of the man from the inside, he is looking for a new form of interactive tv. A form which does not reply upon the old cliche of 'Talent & Ability'. So, in future, we may see more talent. We may see more ability. This new form may not please the, clearly stated, minority that frequent these pages but as he said our comments are largely insignificant......"

So I believe that what we witness this week is a step in that direction and yes, I am certain that it does not please the vocal minority that write here.

The aim is clearly to get the callers involved more. The aim is to give an alternative that for a few hours the tv can go beyond the cliches of 'Talent & Ability'. I do not think it can work every single day but every other day as it is airing at the moment does give it a chance. And think for just one minute. Despite our opinions, those guys are not total idiots. True that they often do things that will annoy. But there is often a carefully thought out commercial plan behind these ideas. Their success is not measures in our comments or polls it's much more fundamental than that.

There is one big mistake in the thoughts of the man inside. He has forgotten that they use the high prizes for hotline and Sms. I can`t remember that I have to pay for a channel about fashion and fine arts. Or to speak about wet painted walls and not about wet pussys.

Yasmine. compliments I am full agreed with your private toughs. They are not much different from mine.

Everything now days is done to find a balance between the need to have censored shows and  the ability to air eUrotic contenys FTA. So they are trying to includ artistic hours in th 24 hours of broadcast so it will meet the terms of ETV not being an fully erotic channel (hence risking the license being revoked) but a mix of several shows this includes the theater sceens we have seen.

If they could have aired the erotic show 24 hours they would have done it as it is much cheapper than to bring artists to the studio and have all this commotion - ETV isn't doing that for the community or for the sake of art but to survive. Unfortunaely this is no longer erotic staff but a lot of nothing but really who cares so much about Sabrinas painting or Nikitas Penelope etc... Today you have many channels including Fashion TV (broadcasting FHD) which are having better material than ETV. So if somebody is going to look for art or nice girls he will turn to ETV together with his/her family or will switch to decent channel where he can tomorrow maybe discuss this with his/her friends at work !!! Obviouslu if ETV wants to completly change this is a different story but then its a different discussion and probably will no longer be discussed in these pages. Anyhow in a previous not of mine commenting about ETV death I said it is maybe emerging to something else. All what I am saying here are private thoughts of mine and no knowledge of inside links or the license terms of satellite TV.
