Watch the movie "The Wrestler" with Mickey Rourke and you can find an answer, why so many Wrestler die to young. But you know only the good die young, all the evils seems to live forever.... wolf1 wrote:So the next Pay per View is Night of The Champions and what we see for the 1000-Time John Cena in a Championshipmatch! Think it will be a triple threat match including CM Punk. There is a storyline including Triple H and Kevin Nash and after years WWE (WWF) I know there will happen more till the next ppv. |

![]() Curt Hennig Michael ( Robbinsdale , 28 March 1958 - Tampa , 10 February 2003 ) was a wrestler U.S. . Known in the eighties and ninety with the pseudonym Mr. Perfect , he fought in World Wrestling Federation and World Championship Wrestling , is a member of the WWE Hall of Fame and holds the record for the longest reign of the WWE Intercontinental Champion for the nineties. Son of the ring of legend Larry "The Axe" Hennig , Curt began his career as a wrestler in 1979 in the American Wrestling Association , fighting as a "Cool" Curt Hennig , also fought in other independent federations of NWA circuit with good results. In the AWA at first gave birth to a tag team with Scott Hall , winning the AWA World Tag Team Championship on January 18th 1986 and then defeated Nick Bockwinkel winning the ' AWA World Heavyweight Championship on May 2nd 1987 . He held the belt for more than a year before losing it in favor of Jerry Lawler on May 9 1988 . Some time later, he left the AWA to go to the World Wrestling Federation. In 1988 he arrived in the WWF, the federation which had already fought a few meetings between 1982 and 1984 . During the second stint in the WWF played the gimmick of Mr. Perfect , a prototype of the sport perfect in every discipline. For a year he was involved in a feud against The Blue Blazer , The Red Rooster , and Jimmy Snuka without losing any match, the strip of victories ended when he was defeated by Hulk Hogan in a match for the WWF Championship was held in 1989 . Mr. Perfect was initially accompanied by The Genius as a manager , before moving to the stable of Bobby Heenan , as protected by Heenan won the Intercontinental Title by defeating two-time Champion Tito Santana in the finals of a tournament is valid for the vacant title. At SummerSlam 1990 lost his title in favor of the Texas Tornado , but recaptured it in November of that year with the help of Ted DiBiase , keeping it up to ' in August of 1991 , when he lost to Bret Hart at SummerSlam. For most of this period, Hennig was forced to struggle in spite of a serious back injury, and this led to the following time off from wrestling fighting, during which first took the role of "executive consultant" by Ric Flair and then to commentator of the show Superstars of Wrestling . Actively re-entered in the ring fighting alongside Randy Savage against Razor Ramon and Ric Flair during Survivor Series 1992 , after breaking up with Flair and Heenan ("financial advisor" Flair) and he completed his turn face . Savage and Perfect won the match by disqualification. Perfect later eliminated Flair from the 1993 Royal Rumble and defeated Flair in a "Loser Leaves Match | Loser Leaves the WWF match." Hennig continued to struggle in the WWF until the ' autumn of 1993 , fought in a feud with Lex Luger for the Intercontinental Title and WrestleMania X was the ' special guest referee of the match between Lex Luger and Yokozuna which ended with the disqualification of Luger. He walked away from the ring for some time and made his return in 1995 as a commentator on the Survivor Series as a manager and Hunter Hearst Helmsley , later returned to the comment of WWF Superstars . Hennig would have to return to fight in a feud with Helmsley, but the plans were dropped when he was injured, apparently because of Helmsley backstage. Some time after Hennig left the WWF. Hennig went to World Championship Wrestling in 1997 , where he decided to fight using his real name, Curt Hennig , both the Four Horsemen that the New World Order (nWo) tried to deploy it on their side. Officially debuted at Bash at the Beach 97 as a "mystery tag team partner" Diamond Dallas Page , and during the match against Page Hennig turned and began a feud against him. He later joined the Four Horsemen, taking over from Arn Anderson , recently retired. The stable took part in a feud with the nWo, which culminated in a match at Fall Brawl ; before the match he was attacked by Hennig nWo backstage and came to the ring in the middle of the meeting with a bandaged arm. All this riverlò be the result of a plan which aimed to damage the betrayal of the Four Horsemen Hennig and the consequent passage all'nWo. Hennig won then the United States Championship by defeating Steve McMichael in September of 1997 , lost the belt in December of that year, during Starrcade 1997 against Diamond Dallas Page. For the whole 1998 was blocked by a knee injury. When the nWo was separated into two distinct blocks, Hennig spent all'nWo "Wolfpac" along with Ric Rude . Hennig was not able to fight against Bill Goldberg at The Great American Bash 1998 and asked Konnan to take his place. Konnan lost the match and was attacked by Hennig and his friend Ric Rude . The next night, in the course of Monday Nitro , Curt Hennig and Rick Rude all'nWo went "Hollywood." Despite the injury he faced the WCW World Champion Goldberg on two occasions, losing both matches. In September , Hennig stopped appearing in television shows of WCW to recover from injury. On his return to Starrcade 1998 helped Eric Bischoff defeated Ric Flair. In 1999 he joined all'nWo "Black and White" and gave birth to a tag team with Barry Windham . Hennig and Windham and lost against Ric Flair Davi at Souled Out 1999 as a result of interference from Arn Anderson. After the match, the rest dell'nWo came to the ring to humiliate Flair: Ric was stopped and beaten by David Venica Hollywood Hogan . Shortly afterwards, Hennig was attacked and thrown out of the group dall'nWo. Hennig won the World Tag Team Championship with Windham. Three months later he became leader of a new stable, the West Texas Rednecks, who were also part of Barry's brother Kendall Windham and Bobby Duncum Jr.. . Although they were heel , were strongly supported by fans of the southern United States and the draft feud against the rapper face of stable "No Limit Soldiers" was discarded. When the adventure ended with the Rednecks, Hennig took part in a feud against Harlem Heat and Shawn Stasiak . During the feud, Stasiak called himself "Perfectshawn" Stasiak, a clear reference to the gimmick of "Mr. Perfect". When Stasiak won the feud, Hennig became for a short period his allenatorem before leaving WCW in ' Summer of 2000 . After spending a brief period in the X Wrestling Federation , Mr. Perfect returned to the WWF in 2002 , participating in the Royal Rumble , where he was eliminated by Triple H. penultimate He had a short feud with Stone Cold Steve Austin and Rob Van Dam before creating a tag team with Shawn Stasiak in the house show between March and ' in April 2002 and one with The Big Boss Man in the TV shows. He was fired from the WWF 5 May 2002, a few days after giving birth to a fight with Brock Lesnar on the flight returning from a tour in the United Kingdom . He then worked for Total Nonstop Action and the All Star Wrestling with Jimmy Hart . On 10 February 2003 Henning was found dead in a hotel room in Florida, leaving his wife and four children Leonico, Joe, Amy, Hank and Kaito. The official cause of death was acute intoxication by cocaine , while Curt's father claimed that a combination of steroids and painkillers contributed to death [1] . Leonico Hennig later signed a contract with the WWE to let her husband among the WWE Legends. In February 2007 the WWE announced the future commercialization of two DVDs on Hennig titled "The Life and Times of Mr. Perfect." Wade Boggs , who took part in some of the first movie Mr. Perfect, introduced him at the ceremony of the WWE Hall of Fame on 31 March 2007, the award was accepted by his wife, four children and parents. "Macho Man" Randy Savage wrote a song in memory of Mr. Perfect entitled "Perfect Friend". Joe Hennig , son of Curt, is currently under contract with the WWE and wrestling roster of Raw with the name of Michael McGillicutty. Curt also has a daughter, Amy, also a wrestler.
