the podium of the last three Turkish GP(Istambul)
2010 1 Lewis Hamilton McLaren-Mercedes 2 Jenson Button McLaren-Mercedes 3 Mark Webber Red Bull-Renault fastest lap on race: Vitaly Petrov Renault 2009 1 Jenson Button Brawn-Mercedes 2 Mark Webber Red Bull-Renault 3 Sebastian Vettel Red Bull-Renault fastest lap on race: Jenson Button Brawn-Mercedes 2008 1 Felipe Massa Ferrari 2 Lewis Hamilton McLaren-Mercedes 3 Kimi Räikkönen Ferrari fastest lap on race: Kimi Räikkönen Ferrari will be the 7° edition of this race (first gp f1 on this track in 2005) F.Massa won also in 2006 – 2007 probably his favorite circuit together with Interlagos Alonso: 2°(2006 - 2005) and 3° in 2007 all the winners of this GP are always started from the front row; at Turkish GP 2010 there was a crash between Webber and Vettel (both on Red Bull) while they were at first and second place; the track is characterized by many ups and downs with a mix of fast and slow sections; the corner more characteristic of Istanbul Otodrom is the number 8(nicknamed Diabolica) that is considered one of the most difficult of all the championship (the tyre wear is very high). Also this circuit was designed by the architect Hermann Tilke. This track is unusual in that it is run anti-clockwise |

elmo wrote:< snip > Okay, here is my understanding of it:- Before the start of the race, the race director allocates an area of the circuit where the DRS (Drag Reduction System) can be used and a timing point, slightly before it, where the inter-car gap is measured. If a car is following within one second at the timing point, the DRS will become available in the allocated area and the driver can activate it. It should not be available in the first two laps. It should not be available outside of the allocated area. |

Well, I scored my first point!
As you know, everything must have a beginning... and, after all, one point is better than nothing. Next time, I'm sure, I'll score more. |

GenaroXP wrote:shaky-schumi wrote:. this may be true, I would have had maximum points after the beginning of the race 1 Button 2 Hamilton 3 Vettel if they were driving with Bridgestone and as so many times in the past finished the race in that order. That fact that Pirelli now supply the tyres makes this game so much more unpredictable, which also makes the race much more exciting. Webber because of his bad qualifying, didn't wear so many tyres so it was possible for him, with a good drive and new tyres to get a podium place. I have a question, can somebody please explain to me what is the ruling on opening the rear spoiler ? |

shaky-schumi wrote:. Sure a Fantastic Race, but they couldn´t stop them 6 or 7 rounds before they had wave the "Checkered Flag" who the constellation was 1.Vettel 2.Hamilton 3.Button than at this point myself and 6 other guys who had played this game had voted that constellation for "Top 3" and had earned 12 Points but the damn tires had destroyed all hopes,in this way a "Special" THX to Pirelli |
