WORLD CUP TOP 11 :
Neuer (Germany) - De Vrij (Netherlands) - Hummels (Germany) - Thiago Silva (Brazil) - Rojo (Argentina) - Kroos (Germany) - Oscar (Brazil) - Lahm (Germany) - James Rodriguez (Colombia) - Robben (Netherlands) - Mueller (Germany). As you can see Lionel Messi isn't in the "Top 11" and, according to the data of this list, Kroos should have won the "Golden Ball" with a score of 9,79. |

Two innocent questions only:
Who is the sponsor of the Golden ball? .... Adidas Who is the sponsor of Messi? ..... Adidas I believe that it is not necessary to look for any more reasons for what it has happened. Really it is shameful. |

I think a decision with the Golde Shoe for Rodriguez and the Golden Ball for Robben would be more fair and probably everyone could fill a list with 10 names of players who were better at the World Cup than Messi. all in all another official decision that is wrong as many decisions of the active officials on the field, the referees. so the officials are the losers of the World Cup. I think the fans are the winners. many good matches with a lot of goals and several surprices. so a for the World Cup and its fans. from my pov Colombia was even better than expected with its damn fast forward soccer style and maybe the best team until they were beaten (in the truest sense of the word) by Brazil. the other 2 best teams were the Netherlands and Germany and as Germany was the team of these three teams in the final Germany is maybe a deserved winner of the World Cup. the german U21 winner from 2004 made its way and has won 10 years later the World Cup, a golden generation has made his last and final step and only winning in France in 2016 could make the success of this generation more perfect. several of the players have won the most important cups with the club and the national team. this leads to Schweinsteiger who gave last night all to be in another class/ level than e.g. Effenberg or Ballack. beaten and kicked but he stood up again and again, last night and after the World Cups in 2006 & 2010. Slowfox wrote:Congratulations to Joachim "Jogi" Löw and the German Football Team for winning the World Championship or even better Opa Klose who made not only 16 goals at 4 World Cups but was one time loser in a final, twice winner of the small final and last night finally winner in the big final. congrats to Opa Klose and his kids & grandchilds for winning the World Cup 2014. PS: any idea who was Man of the Match in the final? a deserved Man of the Match Boateng or any other strange decision of the officials? |

Messi was great in the first stage but once again failed to be decisive when a match really count, that missed goal has cost Argentina the World Cup.

Congrats, congrats but I just would like to point out that Gold Ball for Messi is a really bad choice.
Muller, Neymar, Robben, Rodriguez - they were showing great skills in all games, all the time not just in parts... but hey, Messi didn't win ANY trophy this season so... Edit: Found in Zee internet - "To be fair I'm surprised Messi didn't get the Golden Glove award as well" - made my day. |
