Where i'm from fish and chips was the main and only takeaway food as i was growing up and every chip shop had its own batter recipe, also so do most who make them homemade and also how best to cook them
[hidden link - please register] In my opinion the original is still the best, main source of fish is cod or haddock, the latter being my choice of fish, the dilemma of adding mushy peas or go with a weak curry or yep just salt and vinegar, the choice was endless  but still one of the best foods you can make and in some shops, buy.
