I read The Medicus some years ago and when I saw the movie some days ago it was like a complete different story with only a few points the same as in the book. that's at least my impression, maybe someone thinks the same about the two books and movies. |

first of all and as it's about me in this forum and my favourite @etv I must name two fantasy series:
- John Norman and his Gor zyclus although you shouldn't take it for serious and shouldn't discuss it with women as Norman's pov about women is seriously sick. and the other one is Robert Jordans Wheel of time which is the sources of brown-eyed-Mashiara's name. both series take only 1-1.5 years of your life until you've read all books.  [hidden image - please register] [hidden image - please register] from the already named books are my favourites or must-haves Orwell's 1984 and Gaiman's Neverwhere. the first because of it's meaning and foresseing and the second as it's one of the best fantasy books ever and not often enough mentioned. but as we talk about books and as I've seen a few days ago The Medicus I wanna ask about 2 other books and the movies made of them. What's your opinion about Patrick Süßkind's Perfume and Noah Gordon's The Medicus and especially the books compared with the movies based on the books? |

If you love Game of Thrones then A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones is the television adaptation), George R. R. Martin's series of fantasy novels are even better.

Dylan Dog is an Italian horror comics series featuring an eponymous character (a paranormal investigator) created by Tiziano Sclavi. It's one of the best in Italy and very famous also in all the world.

A great book, Blindness (Ensaio sobre a cegueira) by Portuguese author José Saramago.
