Thanks/Like Button Issues

Well guys sorry to say but due to lack of use, i have decided to stop making videos for the foreseeable future.

I thank all those who have used this feature for what it is intended, but i've noticed that some request on European and UK channels and still no thanks to the videomakers after.

I'm not requesting any other vidmaker to join me as that would not be fair.

I asked in my signature for people to think of the consequences of them not using this function, now i am showing you what can happen.

Sorry to those who do use it and also sorry to maximums and others who do post in the UK section.

Regards
daz

Re: Thanks/Like Button Issues

Just something I have noticed purely from an observational point of view. The Thanks/Like button should really be used to show appreciation for a post such as a good upload, well thought out argument, opinion etc..... certain members who will remain nameless will only thank such members based on their posts being repreciated. Fair point if the posts they were making were babeshow ones or even adult content orientated. They are not, any posts outwith this perimeter such as the Off Topic Section should not be taken as a given for a like in return. Please remember why it was we all signed up to this forum in the first place Smile

In my opinion, "LIKE" or "THANKS" have the same meaning. I "LIKE" a photo, a video or an interesting post
and I "THANKS" the member who posted. Maybe there are some type of post (eg. RIP) for which it makes
more sense the word "THANKS" for letting me know instead of the word "LIKE" because it is a dead person.
If I had to choose between "LIKE" and "THANKS" I would choose "THANKS".

Good day to everyone.SmileThumb up

I forgot to point out that in the profile of each of us appear these two sentences:
You haven been Thanked xxxx times by other members.
You have Thanked other members xxxx times.
So ... to you the decisionSmile

Reading posts as a 'guest' gets around all of the button issues ... Cool

Re: Thanks/Like Button Issues

The negatives that have been mentioned in the past few posts were/are already happening but some don't notice it Smile

Politics is already here with hidden negatives or in the case of one ex video maker, he would post in the morning for a few downloads of a popular model, then later delete if some others had posted their videos in the same thread and then repost later in the afternoon to gain more impact, he would then ignore liking any other members post. The member was more about using affiliate file hosts though and could be seen more as him working. But then again, he seemed to be very popular with getting people downloading and liking his posts. This is one example of manipulation that most did not notice and many more occasions where manipulation happened just to get more people liking a post. Another was a long standing argument where people would come from another site and like a post even though it was talking shit, just because they disliked the Moderators here even to the point of analysing who like the replies so they can count them as an enemy BlushThumb up

Background bullshit is happening all of the time but, we try to make sure it does not take over the forum and just be the only topic of conversation or the only reason to visit a site ConfusedThumb down

We had a models voting area that was manipulated by someone creating over 100 accounts so that his model was high in the rankings Confused We had members creating extra accounts and pressing the like button to make them look more popular Confused

Like I said, there is politics in pretty much everything and false manipulation going on at all times Smile

Now a reason we made the like names only viewable by hovering over a post [hidden link - please register] when you have over 300 likes to a post as in this case, it took up more space than the actual post. elmo started the now gone Gia video thread and had almost 600 likes Smile Hovering over them is for the best Thumb up

Re: Thanks/Like Button Issues

at our discussion, hey we can be lucky ,that the world has no other problems ,or?Big Grin

I dont need a thanx & like or I´m not sure button for news or whatever .One button is enough

the videomakers ,thecapmakers etc makes a great jobThumb up

and if I don´´t like a BS Model ,Idon´´t like her and of course i press never ever a button

For example ; quiquems is the best videomaker (in my opinion) on earth but i can´t give any thanx or likes for things I don t like

but inthe next he gets what he deserves 10000 likes or more and I´m not a hardcore downloader also caps is hard work Thumb upThumb upThumb up

Well mate on the UK Babe Channels forum the thank you button is in place with the list of names as to who gave thanks displayed which has its good side aswell as it's nasty side to it. With the name of the members that said thanks then it's nice to see those who continue to go the extra mile showing their gratitude. However a lot of the thanks given is politically motivated sadly.

With thanks given not adequately measured by the quality of the upload a lot of the time but instead down to their personal like or dislike to a certain member which is really an ugly part to it all sadly, so even if the like button is replaced with the thanks I'd be more than happy to keep the current system in place where only by hovering over the thanks button do you get to see the members names.

2 buttons for me is nonsense.
Actually independent of the change from "Thanks" to "Like" some time ago I haven't changed my personal interpretation, If I either like, agree to or just want to say Thanks for sharing I click on that button, from the context there's usually not that much space for (mis-) Interpretation.
Maybe Admin can make a user profile setting to select if the button is "Like" or "Thanks", so everyone sees the button he prefers

Re: Thanks/Like Button Issues

Hello community,
I have a question? Which year LSTV has been founded ? 2006, 2007 or later.
You all can see the time when I have entered this nice place here.
Now I'm surprised about the non coming up of this discussion earlier so much Big Grin

To be honest why I should click a "Thanks" button and not a "Like" button under the same comment?
Either I like it or not, either I would like to thank the publisher or not.
For me there is no difference between them it is just a matter how it be could called at best. "Like" or "Thanks"....

"LIKE AND THANKS" Smile

Well to press the "Like" button is that I appreciate the work of the member and so I feel too when a member have pressed the button below of one of my posts.

Just to give an example:
I don't agree with the comment of somebody but when I think about all the time he had invested for his post then one word appears in my mind and it is "Respect"
Now it's up to me what to do and to evaluate higher. The appreciation or the content....
IMHO, like and thanks are the same for me, how can I thank anybody for anything I don't like....

I wish you all a
Happy Easter

Re: Thanks/Like Button Issues

I'm in favour of having also just the one button, do away completely with the like button and have it replaced with thanks instead as I said on the other Thread yesterday it serves as a dual purpose. Having a like and thanks option would be too confusing if you ask me.

Thanks Thumb up

for me the discussion here indicates that people are very open minded and willing to constructively discuss this and until now in a very polite and respectful manner. I cannot see any sarcasm or irony though, as I do not see the necessity to make fun of it. Sorry to say.

well it looks like irony but in real it's the easiest and maybe only way for this voting except anyone wants to spend a lot of time in coding a new vote system or wants to read several sent PMs.
but in this vote everyone would have to use the Like button independent from liking or not liking it and that's the ironic point ot it. ;) Sorry to explain.

Or the other option and just do 2 posts. "A Vote For Thanks" and "A Vote For Thanks and Like" it would save time just hitting the button on what the member would prefer. No PM's and no arguments as numbers will show to all members.

PS. We know who has more than 1 account and so if caught abusing then your right to have a voice would be at risk if anyone tried it Smile
