If we want to evaluate anything we should look to it from all angles ...even if the latest days have shown to us some of the disadvantages of the reps systems .....However , the reps system has been and still such a Bridge of Friendship . I do agree that the whole system In some ways gives a strong sense that it totally meaningless , hypocrisy and even in most of the time such a silly childish game . But on the other hand , I strongly believe that the reps system was one of the basic reasons which helped to keep the good mood all over the forum ....and saved a good chance for all the forum members to know each other better . And the negative reps .....apart from the " cow incident " ...it also gives a good chance to look to the other bad sides ...sometimes A cruel negative words from a reluctant would be much more inspiring ....than a senseless Compliment from a fellow . I don't care how many reps I had and I will have in the future ....I just care about having a chance to appreciate all others fellows which have done a good work here in the forum ...a chance to have a new friends.....a basic reason to keep the good mood in the forum . If the only advantage for the reps system would be ....expressing the appreciation for the work of the other fellow .....I would say it's enough to cover all of its disadvantage . |

To be fair hilbert you don't like the reputations which is clear and some do, it as been discussed that the Moderators control who gets reps and who does not, for me that is worse than freedom to chose who to rep a +1 or -1. Back to the reps, should polarscan have only 19 as he is known for more than just this forum? answer probably no, but it all depends on if you post the most popular content, if you just post say Brona videos how many reps will you get for that? or just stick to posting Scarlet and Gia videos again how many reps will that get you? If i remember you posted in the past about Mods thanking other Mods for doing there job, at the time i agreed with you but since then i realise i was wrong as we are a team and we cover each others backs, but also if the post is correct there is no reason not to thank, it confirms we all think the same about it. Like it or not the Reps stay as they are and Mods are free to thank any post they see as correct, we keep to the rules and are also members just like any other, you said we are referees and yes we are and even they get feedback from instant replays or linesmen. |
