This is a funny news finally Big Grin
Police in Shelby Township have had all kinds of suspects in their patrol cars — but this is a first: A pig.
“You would never believe it,” Deputy Chief Mark Coil told WWJ’s Pat Vitale. “Just when you think after 25 years in the business you’ve seen it all, you get a call from a shift commander telling you that we have corralled a pig.”
Coil said the whole thing started after police received a 911 call around 7 p.m. Thursday, from a woman who said there was a pig on the loose and she didn’t know what to do. According to reports, the woman was doing yard work when the pig came barreling toward her. It then chased her into the front yard before getting distracted by a decorative ball.
“Officers responded and were able to detain the pig and get him in the back seat of the patrol car,” said Coil. “Realistically, the pig didn’t give us much trouble. We used a dog pole that we would use for a dog at large and were able to corral the pig and take the pig into custody without any problems whatsoever.”
The real problem occurred afterward — when officers got the pig back to the station.

Well, lets say the pig either out of excitement or otherwise felt the need to use the back seat of our patrol car as a bathroom,” said Coil.
As officers were determining their next step with the porker, they received a call from its owner.
“The owner realized that his pig was missing while we were in the process of figuring out what to do with this animal, he called and said ‘Hey, I think you’re looking for a pig and it may be mine,'” said Coil. “Not that we have pigs running at large on a regular basis, we returned him.”
Coil said the owner was so grateful the officers caught his pig, he “was kind enough to clean up after his pig’s mess” in the patrol car.
The department posted a photo — that has since gone viral — of the pig in the cop car with a big grin on its face.
“I think he feels that he got the last laugh,” said Coil.

Bali 9 Pair Executed

Bali 9 pair Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran and 6 others were shot earlier this evening. However Mary Jane Veloso was given a last minute reprieve but her stay was really on a technicality rather than a reversal of fate.

The message the new Indonesian President Joko Widodo has portrayed is that he puts drug trafficking as a more heinous crime than say murder and rape.

This execution disappoints me, those who faced the firing squad were not evil, they were selfish and they were greedy but 20 years or life with no possibility of parole to me would have been a far more appropriate punishment rather than this senseless murder.

What disgusted me most about all this was the vile photos of Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran boarding the plane on route to the execution island.

Bali 9 ring leaders set to be executed

I don't know if its just me on this forum that has been following this story but the fate of the 2 ring leaders who were arrested 10 years after being caught trying to smuggle 8.3 kg of heroine into Australia which had a street value of 4 million dollars have been given notice of their impending execution which could take place as soon as tomorrow night.

Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran were the masterminds behind the operation and were given the ultimate punishment. 8 others also face the same fate tomorrow.

One of those is Filipina woman, Mary Jane Veloso, who has always maintained her innocence that she was set up and had absolutely no idea that drugs had been placed in her suitcase.

New Indonesian President Joko Widodo has gone on record as to his stance on drug trafficking and has made it perfectly clear that anybody caught deserves to face the firing squad as Indonesia is currently in a crisis with drug related deaths with addiction at an alltime high.

The only brit that is also currently awaiting execution is Lindsey Sandiford and its been hinted that she could be in line to face the next set of executions.

My personal opinion on the death penalty is always that I firmly remain opposed to it. Indonesia is sending out a firm message. Don't fuck with our law because we mean business.

Re: News from the World

A powerful 7.9-magnitude earthquake struck Nepal on Saturday, killing scores, destroying homes and ancient temples, and reportedly triggering at least one avalanche on Mount Everest.
At least 71 people were killed in the quake in Nepal, The Associated Press reported citing the country's Home Ministry. At least 30 people died in neighboring countries where the quake was felt, including 20 in India, AP added.
Reuters reported that 449 had died, quoting Nepalese police sources. There was no explanation for the different estimates and NBC News was not able to immediately confirm a death toll.
Trapped on the top of the world - A total of 700 climbers are in Solukhumbhu district that includes Everest, with 300 thought to be at base camp itself, deputy superintendent of police Chandra Dev Rai says.
