Re: Internet censor in germany

Actually it was France's supreme court that ruled the law illegal.

Note that this verdict only deals with the part that said a provider could be forced to shut down a customer without passing a judge.

The law will probably be changed so a court-order will be required to shut someone down, but nothing else will change.

Re: Internet censor in germany

CSA claim Eutelsat should respect French laws seems questionable and if applied may results in a revolution in the skies... if the TV channels themeselves have to follow those laws, considering they have to respect the laws of the Countries they broadcast from...

Anyway, let me remind you EuroBird9 ad Eutelsat W2 are part of Eutelsat and broadcast uncensored stuff (during night)

Re: Internet censor in germany

The CSA has warned Eutelsat because of the delivery of services Sexy One, All Sex, Sex World programming during the day, advertisements for telephone services or reserved for adults, including pornographic images. Even if the distribution is European, it is managed by Eutelsat, a French company that must comply with French law. The dissemination of such messages is clearly prohibited. The Council asked Eutelsat to provide information on the action it intends to reserve the decision and explained that in cases of persistent failure of the channels in question to the protection of minors, it could put on notice to stop the spread of services. The CSA has also informed the European Commission of the notice.

That is why the liveshow channels on the network eutelsat are censored.

Hello my friend misto
I agree with you
But you know very well that when it comes to money our politicians are capable of all.
The majors of the disc and movie are so unhappy, they can no longer maintain their pool or villa on the cote d'azur.

Re: Internet censor in germany

Hi to all,
Don't worry guys, cloaking and masking IP adress is not difficult. This law is stupid ( like our politicians)Only the poor guys will be punished.
It's a shame.
ps: there are 32 millions persons in France, who are connected to internet. It's impossible to survey all these peoples.

Re: Internet censor in germany

But the european parliament has already that the double punishment is not admissible. If it votes an european law, french law will be adapted ... after a few years. Wait and see !
