Internet censor in germany

The german government want to make a new law for an internet filter.

Actually it was France's supreme court that ruled the law illegal.

Note that this verdict only deals with the part that said a provider could be forced to shut down a customer without passing a judge.

The law will probably be changed so a court-order will be required to shut someone down, but nothing else will change.

CSA claim Eutelsat should respect French laws seems questionable and if applied may results in a revolution in the skies... if the TV channels themeselves have to follow those laws, considering they have to respect the laws of the Countries they broadcast from...

The CSA has warned Eutelsat because of the delivery of services Sexy One, All Sex, Sex World programming during the day, advertisements for telephone services or reserved for adults, including pornographic images. Even if the distribution is European, it is managed by Eutelsat, a French company that must comply with French law. The dissemination of such messages is clearly prohibited. But the european parliament has already that the double punishment is not admissible. If it votes an european law, french law will be adapted ... after a few years. Wait and see !
