The girls page votes (and voters)

Wow guys, what subject and what thoughts! It surely goes strait to the point and I agree to all of you. But when I take a better look who's writing all this I see just two categories: "live show enthusiast" and "live show expert". No wonder it's all articulate and meaningful.
So my idea and proposal is to establish voting system just for experts (two categories mentioned above) to rate girls (something like "editors choice" or "experts choice"), and to separately keep voting system we already have (can be named "audience choice").

You seem to have missed the message I just wrote. The total points is the aggregate for the last 30 days. When the new day starts, the points of day 30 +1 are disgarded. So if Amanda had only 2 points in that day her total points would indeed fall by 2. Simple mathematics.

It is not so easy to explain the full system in a few words but I will reply tomorrow.

The number of points a model has is always the same ??

Last week , i had some points left and I thought : give them to Amanda . She had then 983 points , after my "succesfull " rating , it was 985 . But what did I see 2 days thereafter ? 983 again . This is only what I saw . Now the Q : a model KEEPS the points , or WHAT happens with them ??? ( Amanda was always a good friend of mine ) Thanks , if you can give me the solution !! (Please a short one )

I will try to reassure you that there are no bugs in the code that controls the voting. I suppose, and I am no expert in these matters but most database systems will 'lock' the data as it is being written to prevent a crash with two posts at identically the same time. And as computers time in milleseconds then the chances of that happening are pretty remote.

Now to answer your other comment. The total votes you see are an aggregate of the last 30 days. Now if you were to start your rating before 00:00 but not submit it until after then it is perfectly possible that the total votes will go down

I do believe there was a full explanation of how the system works - it has not changed - was posted quite some time ago. If that cannot be found then I will be happy to try and explain it again.

1) There are some bugs in the system : i have already noted that when I give 5 points to a model, the new total is sometimes inferior to the old total + 5 !!!
If two users are rating at the same time, the user who accept the rate at least erase the rate of the other user ...

The calcul of the rate is not clear. The rate is done with only the points given during the current day or since last 24 hours. Perhaps Mr Pink can explain this ...

2) The criterias to give points cannot be controlled : some members give points bacause they are in love, because the model are pretty or the show was exciting or... give points to see a model with a bad rank !
Everybody is free !!!

3) The members who rate the models are not the members who are writting in the forum ...
The fetichists are not welcome in the forum but they must rate.

Ok, I understand you because my rating is under that influence too.
However, my rating method is the following:

-)My taste + medium/good performance: 3 to 5 stars
-)My taste + bad/medium perf. : 1 to 3 stars
-)Not my taste + medium perf. : 1 to 2 stars
(If a girl is not my taste she can not make good perf. for me)
-)Not my taste + bad perf. : 0

I agree with you but i must confess that my rating also is often under influence of a models beauty. If you see the ranking at the moment you will see in the Top Ten at least two girls who are just because of their beauty so high rated (Gia and Clio) and not because of their show. Even Sabrina is a discussion worth. Sometimes she delivers a good show, sometimes just boring bullshit because she isn't up for some moving or just a smile. And at the end of the ranking you can find girls who don't look like a Barbie and so they get no points although they try to make a good show (e.g. Angie, Linda, Lia or Aria). I think most of the guys don't watch the whole etv day. They switch to the channel, watch for their favorites and leave after a short time or they just download the vids of their favorites. They know nothing about the performance of the other models but they vote for their favorite and give a bad vote for the other models so their favorite rises up.

To solve the problem the proposal of alex is a good one. Maybe we / you (belle) can add a third section like "Newcomer of the week/month". But the ranking shouldn't get too large (like a master thesis of a mathematician or sociologist). In this case we should forget it or accept it with the faults.

Thats the main problem. I difference the models in 2 sections - appearance AND performance, the outcome of this is the whole package from a model.

I think the best would be, when we split the ranking of the models in 2 sections, in one, where we can vote for her appearance and one, where we can vote for her performance! Greetings:-)

I completely agree.
According to me these "strange" rankings are due to 2 main reasons:

1) Many "models'lovers" vote the models not according their performances.
To my opinion it's wrong, but it's their decision...

2) Some members are occasional guests here in the forum. Some other are on the forum everyday.
Surely "models'lovers" belong to the second category and they vote 5 stars for their loved model every 24 hours.
On the contrary, occasional guests or common members (not lovers) vote their models with much less regularity.
According to me it could be useful, for a better system of vote, to allow only 1 vote a week, so that occasional guests, non lovers and regular lovers have more chance to have a similar weight on the ranking.
